so cool to visit the park on the weekend and see all the old parents displaying umbrellas with advertisements of their children who they wish to arrange marriages for. i know they dont appreciate photos but it really is something special to see.
Zhongshan park is a really nice park located in Changning district. The park has many hidden paths and spots which is really nice but unfortunately most of the time it is very crowded but worth a visit if you are nearby.
I went to this park while waiting going to the airport. The Park was clean and large. My child enjoy the time to play kite. There was also a place for children to play roller coaster (old one), etc which were enough to stop them...More
I visited Zhongshan Park with some friends in July 2017. It was quite picturesque and the atmosphere was nice. Be weary of the weather! It was 40C when we visited, and no ride operates if the temperature is above 35C...which is basically the summer in...More

Zhongshan park is my favorite park in the inner city of Shanghai. You can hang out on the big lawn area or strive around the Chinese gardens. It is also worthwhile stopping at one of the pagodas where locals are singing, dancing and playing music.
The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious
restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.
