Je Fine Art Gallery has an exceptional reputation for bringing the work of well-known artists from all over the world to Shanghai - the current exhibition running until January 27, 2019, provides a rare and profound opportunity to witness Picasso’s inner thinking and sense his state of unrest at the time of producing sketches for his final and very famous painting - Guernica. These stunning lithographs have been produced with authorization by Museo del Prado in 1990.“The nature of creation exhibition” will not disappoint and shall provide both the art connoisseur and novice alike.

Calm amongst the chaos

Je Artspace's current exhibition is a brief haven of calm situated against Shanghai's hectic backdrop. The exhibition, Emptiness, Nothing & Everything is all about Taoism and how each artist interprets the theme. Not knowing much about Eastern philosophy it was super helpful to have the gallery staff give me an introduction. Xue Song's works/ backstory were definitely a highlight. After his studio burnt down in the 1990's he literally starting using fire & ash to create new paintings. The outcome is super vibrant & textured paintings with a nod to traditional Chinese painting.
