Great to walk along this HuaiHai Road. Historical mansions along the road. It has several great shopping malls and an upper end shopping street (both sides).

I went to Shanghai on business in June 2016. Huai Hai Middle Road (Huai Hai Zhong Lu) actually extends for a long distance. I think some of the other reviewers did not walk far enough. In one stretch which is near Xintiandi, there are a lot of shopping malls with upscale stores and restaurants. However, if you walk further (away from the river), it becomes very Chinese and more interesting. The stores cater more to locals and less to tourists. If you walk even further, you will be in the French Concession district of Shanghai which is very interesting. I must have walked for at least an hour on Huaihai Road so I think if you are going to go here, I recommend that you take a very long walk away from all the shopping malls and you will see some interesting things. My ultimate objective was to go to a business meeting so I am glad that I took the extra long walk.

A very big shopping street almost similar to Nanjing Street but less tourists. If you have some time its worth a go. Most of wellknown brand showrooms are here

It's def. worth at least a half a day. From Eastern Huaihai all the way to the Western end, it's an array of small boutiques to high-end shopping malls that'll satisfy many shopping needs.

This is a great street for shopping. The iAPM Mall, a sister mall of IFC in Pudong, has a very cool interior and lots of high end shops. On the street is also the flagship Uniqlo store which is quite affordable. This is a fun street to go up and down in. The street is lined with well known shops, leafy trees and has lots of activity.

Huaihai Rd has the same shops as those on Nanjiing Rd, but without the mass tour groups walking through. It's a long street with anything and everything you could possibly want to buy. Very busy!

Just down south from Nanjing Road, another main artillery of ancient Shanghai converging with the new Shanghai is Huaihai Road. This is French town, the former French Concession. One of the only preserved concession areas remaining (apart from the Bund). Is this why Shanghai is called Paris of the East? Maybe there’s more to it.

Very interesting shopping area with tree covered avenue. The section that I am talking about is from Xiang Yang Road on the west and all the way to Cong Qing Nan Road on the east.

There are many boutiques which most people can not afford, but they are interesting to browse, like some of watch stores. But there are some flagship stores for international known brands, like Sony, Nike and Addidas. My kids had a good time to browse and shop. They have some merchandises only marketed in Asia.

During my recent visit, I had a cappuccino every morning in the Starbucks across from Parkson department store, watching people coming and going during the morning rush hours.

Actually nothing special here anymore. Same luxury brands as any ones you can find in other countries. International boring food. Why going there? Unless you are missing your home country.
