Neighborhood: Former French Concession
While there are technical borders to the area formerly governed by the French in Shanghai, the "French Concession" of today is an amorphous neighborhood that is a favorite of the city's foreign residents. While it is mostly within the Xuhui district, residents will sometimes include parts of Jing'an and Luwan in their mental maps of the Former French Concession. The area seems frozen in time, characterized by quiet, tree-lined avenues, French-style villas, interesting boutiques, lively bars and quaint cafes that are not typical of China. All of these mix and mingle with local life as Chinese markets and lanehouse communities are peppered throughout. Denizens of the Former French Concession can spectate a mahjong game on the street or get their bike checked at a tiny bike repair store on the way to their refurbished apartment tucked away among Chinese family homes.

Line 10 South Shaanxi Station will lead you straight to the IAPM Mall. Very convenient. The mall is less posh on the LG1 & LG2 but super posh on the levels above! There is a supermarket on LG1 that carries quite a variety of foreign products. Food here is great. Level 5 and 6 have great restaurants. We enjoyed our dinner at The Cut for steak and burger. If you step out of IAPM mall, just across the streets, there is the Paris Spring Mall and the Parkson Mall. Enjoy exploring!

Probably 1 of the best shopping malls in shanghai in addition to IFC. Unlike IFC, IAPM has many more restaurant and food options. As well as non luxury shops. And a Sephora and Muji. IFC is more luxury focused and a whole floor of cosmetics

iapm is a beautiful mall. It's almost brand new, just opened recently, not too long ago. It's the sister Mall of IFC Lujiazui, owned by a famous family from Hong Kong. I go to iapm at least once or twice, sometimes even more. Alone or with my children. Mostly for coffee, lunches or Apple Store. It's a great mall for window shopping. Almost all famous luxury brands are here. Once in a blue moon, we also like to go to iapm for its state of the art IMAX Movie Theatre, one of the best in the world today. This mall is a home of many many top quality restaurants. Local or international cuisine. Personally, I like Hatsune the most, then Morton's and also BANG. Nespresso is also here at the L3 with all kind of exotic coffee. What makes my day? It's Ristretto Cappuccino, Roma Expresso and the new special edition Ice Coffee Salentina. Morning or afternoon coffee is very important to me. No Coffee, No Life!

Located on top of metro. Beautifully decorated for Christmas shopping. Love the varieties of shops which foster the atmosphere of shopping.
Combination of international and local brands lots of choices. Citysuper supermarket, bakery, reataurants and food courts at the top floor.
Can enjoy afternoon tea or find a cafe for coffee easily.

Being a landmark place to catch up with friends , iapm not only provides one of the best shopping high end goods experiences in Shanghai , it but also holds so many nice restaurants from level 4; I will totally recommend you Da Dong on level 6. You will taste the best roast duck and many other amazing dishes there .

The mall is directly connected to the subway station as you would expect. It is filled with luxury shopping with sky-rocketing prices and not for bargain hunters!. However there are 3 things that going for it:
1. It has the best collection of restaurants in one place in the whole of Shanghai, From Din ta fung to Lei garden and so on. you can find fine dining and cheap restaurant in this one place.
2. You can find more affordable stuff in the lower basements levels and a grocery store there, but don't expect cheap chinese price for them!
3. IMAX cinema.
A very good place to go and eat Dinner at where a lot of choice centralized in one beautiful place.

I visited this mall today with my friend. We walked around and ate lunch at Baker & Spice. Their restaurant is clean, neat and the food and juice are fresh and delicious. This is a mall to come to if you want the expensive brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Fendi, etc. I usually visit this mall for the restaurants as I am not interested in all of those super duper expensive brands. If you want a visually pleasing, modern and clean mall experience, come here.

As I said. Best labels but also the best prices. The food on the top floor is good but again expensive. Browse the labels but hold on to your money it goes way too fast

First time went to shanghai. I noted this mall as it was near to yuyuan metro station. Despite of its luxury items, we could find affordable restaurants and affordable clothes here. The mall is located near metro, very convenient

Its a late morning opener like so many in Shanghai, but this extensive mall is good morning noon and night. IMAX cinema and standard screens, a large Apple store, Nespresso store, Din Tai Fung outlet (amazing xiaolongbao ~ dumplings) and all the usual high end and quirky brands is complemented by a range of food outlets and restaurants.
Shaanxi Rd South Metro is underneath. Just beyond the mall lies the French Concession and all that that area has to offer in terms of bars, restaurants, noodle shops and all manner of delights that Shanghai has on offer.

Metro Line 1/10/12 directly connected with iapm Mall. Station is Shanxi Nan Lu (Shanxi South Rd). Bus station is also within 2/3 minutes walk. Taxi is also very inexpensive (US$ 3/4 or more depends on the destination) and available outside the Mall Gates.
