Nice park.Bigger tha I expected with a small playground, boat launch, and picnic tables. Good views of the river. They also have a dog park that our dog enjoyed.

Late fall visit. The vista was wondederful.
Nov 2019
From the bluff the vista was gorgeous with Cooters Pond in the foreground, an expanse of trees in fall colors in the mid-ground and an excellent view of Montgomery in the distance.

Great Boat Launch
Aug 2019 • Couples
Cooter’s Pond is a very well maintained, well lit boat launching area. The ramp has a gentle slope and is very easy to put in and take out our boat. The launch area has a very well maintained floating dock with individual slips for loading and unloading passengers. It is one of our favorite places to launch our boat.

Nice place
Aug 2017
This place is a nice park in Prattville, it was peaceful and a nice respite to get some peace quiet and nature. It seems like its a decent place to fish as well.

Nice park but old
Jan 2018 • Couples
The park was nice. It had a good walking trail and a very nice playground. The view was amazing of the water. My only complaint was the restroom situation. None of them were unlocked and we had to leave early to use the restroom. Other than that I really loved this place.

Nice Dog Park!
Sep 2017 • Family
My Florida family evacuated to Prattville for Hurricane Irma and of course brought our dog with us, so we were looking in the area for a place he could seriously stretch his legs. Cooter's Pond Park definitely fit the bill. The park is a short distance away from the main commercial center, but a world away in geography. It's a quaint rural respite for short walks, beautiful views, and of course the large, well maintained fenced dog area. Our dog Shiloh met a new friend, Max, and we had a pleasant conversation with his owner. If you walk along the water view, you'll come to an opening with a great view of downtown Montgomery in the distance.

Some odd things here
Feb 2017 • Friends
I live somewhat close to this park. It's a nice little park on the Alabama River with pavilions, kids playground, picnic areas, little creek, and even a dog park. Very nice but every time I go there are weird old men trying to creep around and follow you until you either go off on them or they give up. The Prattville police need to do something about these cats! Other than that the actual park is nice but not anything to make a special trip for at all though.

somewhat limited
Jul 2016 • Solo
The park does have a dog park so if you have a dog this is a good place to go and let them run around for a while. There is also a boat launch and good fishing.
