Had a great time with my Friends and my Son on July 4th, 2020, fishing with Captain Tom and Sam on the Fairwater II. The 7 of us in our group did the 8 hour trip, which took us about 30 miles offshore, on a beautiful day with calm seas. We easily caught our Red Snapper limit. For every fish we brought back to the dock, I would estimate we caught 8 more we threw back. We caught Red Snapper, White Snapper, Beeliners, Vermillion, Trigger Fish, Wahoo, and Sharks. Captain Tom put us in position to catch fish at numerous stops out and back, to the point we dreaded stopping after about hour 6. Hit the gym and get in shape before you go. It’s an arm, leg, back workout that will wear you out!

We had a great trip on the Fairwater II with Gabby and Sam. We originally had a trip booked with another charter out of Zeke's marina but they had trouble with their boat and had to cancel the trip. Fairwater II Charters was able to accommodate us last minute on memorial day weekend. We literally looked at every other charter in the gulf shores area and nobody had space for a group of 9. My brother posted on Facebook that we needed help finding a trip and Fairwater II responded quickly. We caught some great red snappers, vermilion snappers, spades, and a Spanish mackerel as we trolled in. Boat was clean and had plenty of room for us all. Gabby works hard to keep you happy and keep your lines baited up. She took great care of all the equipment and was quick to take your fish off. Our captain, Sam was great as well, super friendly and actually took the time to talk to all of the guests and give advice. I would highly recommend going on a charter with Fairwater II Charters, great price, great equipment, great attitudes from all and even got to meet Captain Tom the owner. Thanks so much Fairwater II Charters! We will definitely book with them again.

We had two excellent trips on the Boll Weevil with Captain Gary and deckhand Kyle. Gary put us on the fish and Kyle was quick to help with baiting the lines and handling all the fish coming up on the deck. Our group of 6 caught our limit of red snapper plus several king mackerel and a bunch of Spanish Mackerel including one trophy sized Spanish. Had such a great time we went back 4 days later to do it again when Gary and Kyle had an opening in the morning, and caught another limit of red snapper plus a bonus mangrove snapper that was really big. We loved these guys and highly recommend them.

Just got off 8hr with Tom and Sam. Maybe the best fishing experience ever. Tom took us to all the right spots, just jerking fish out of the water. Sam was a fantastic deckhand. Nonstop help and made things super easy. Absolutely recomend the Fairwater to anyone. Thanks again!

I strongly advise against spending money on one of these trips. It took us nearly 2 hours to get to the snapper, of which we got to keep 2 and caught only a few more. We did easily catch some small fish, but can do this more enjoyably from most any lake. We smelled exhaust the entire drive. It was a terrible waste of time and money.

Captain Sam was a lot of fun and professional. Cal did a great job keeping everyone fishing. We had a blast, swells were "sporty" and they took us out to see of it was something we wanted to try or not. We did and they put us on fish wile trolling and then kept us on fish while bottom fishing. They do a great job.
The captains we normally use were unavailable during our trip but we will definitely add Captain Sam and the Bollweevil to our list of charters to use again.

Sam and Kyle were great!
Captain Sam made sure we got in plenty of fishing and Kyle was amazing at baiting hooks and getting the fish off the lines. He was busy with 5 of us fishing. 😊
Had our fresh fish cooked at Zeke’s Landing- was really good!

Capt Tom and deck hand Gabby were outstanding on our 8hr fishing trip!! The winds were fairly stout, current was working against us and seas a bit rough, but this badass crew of 2, put us on the fish!!
We caught our limit of red snapper and trigger fish, along with several beeliners (vermillion snapper.)
It was a long ride out and back, but the AC was blowing cold in the cabin and the accommodations were great! For the real sporty folks, sit up front in the splash zone and prepare to be refreshed!
Thank you Capt. Tom for working your butt off and not giving up until we hit our limit. Thank you Gabby for taking great care of us and always keeping us baited up. You have a great attitude and the most impressive sea legs in the rough water! Safe seas and tight lines!

Captain Kyle and First Mate Ben were awesome on the Bollweevil. We caught our limit of Snapper. Had 2 new anglers on the boat that had never been fishing before and they had a great time. Guys kept us on fish with just 3 stops and we trolled on the way out and each of us had a chance to reel something in. Great Guys and a wonderful trip. We will be back!

We do not normally Tarpon fish on our charters but there are a select few inshore type boats that do. July is the best month, if your interested in booking a tarpon fishing trip call the office at 251-979-2682

What all would we need to bring with us for a 12 hour charter on the Fairwater II?

Your food and drinks for the day, I would suggest 2 coolers. Beer is fine in cans. Sunscreen, plenty of water. We take care of everything else.
