Great weather clear skies one to 2 foot seas wins rather to Northeast about 9 to 10 mph. It was a good boat ride. We got out to the fishing spot in about an hour had about 65 people on board everybody Lloyd airlines into the water on the captains orders and not one bite. We moved it to three other spots every 10 to 15 minutes and then the entire day only one person caught a red snapper which is out of season so we had to posit back. All the other fish caught one Rubys, which was hardly worth the price paid for a fishing charter. All in all good day because even a bad day at fishing it’s better than a good day at work I would definitely give it another try and perhaps the captain would have better luck with his fishfinder and putting us on fish

My family of four (2 adults and 2 young children) took this dolphin cruise yesterday. We needed a budget option and took a chance, knowing there were other, bigger, more expensive options out there. This was THE BEST we could have asked for. I would do this trip (in this smaller setting) over any of the bigger boats every time. Captain Mark and First Mate Em were fantastic. They were friendly, accommodating, funny, and taught us so much. They were so good to all the kids on board and our kids went from being nervous to laughing and driving the boat back to the marina. We saw a bunch of dolphins (including a tiny baby), a sea turtle, many birds, and even had a water fight with a pirate ship. I cannot say enough about this experience. It literally could not have been better. Thank you!!!

This was good for us to experience deep sea fishing with out breaking the bank. If the boat is full, it does get a little cramped, but that is the trade off of doing a party charter vs. a private charter. Deck hands were knowledgeable and captain put us on fish. Not everyone will catch fish. It’s fishing not catching.

Fishing trip

We took a fishing trip with you guys on Wednesday June 22, 2022 at 8 am, 4 hour tour.. we were disappointed in this trip especially with the cost of almost $500. One major thing is I feel like children 4 and understand should be free, there is no way they could fish truly, or at least a much discounted rate.. it stated on the website that the young children would be able to go help drive the boat back, it was never offered to even go see it, so our youngest got nothing out of trip. Also we had been on a few boat excursions in Panama City and the captain would talk while taking us out, pointing out things and explaining what things were, nothing like that was done with any of the crew working ok there. Also when we seen the amount of people that could go on we thought boat would be bigger, our lines got caught on the other side of the boat lines several times, losing time to fish. We were also told if we didnt catch much we would move and try other spots that didnt happen but once and our boat did not catch much at all for that long. All in all I would not suggest this trip for the price after the experience.

We booked the cruise was called and asked to go later due to little intest in the 430pm one. We agreed went on the 530/6. The westherbwas overcast we were told it would sail , it was complete freezing hard rain stuck outside with rough seas, holding onto whatever we could while all the seniors and children hunkered in the cabin. Activites were limited due to the weather the kids were robbed of a fun trip- as well as the adults. There were 3 handicap passengers who were made to walk floating decks instead of being offered to wait at the restaurant landing at the end of the dock , 1 child fell and hurt himself leaving and the pirate leading the party back across the dock kept on going never offering to check on that child. It was terrible, hard rain, rough seas and over 200 bucks for my family to be miserable for 2 hours.

My son and I booked the morning 4-hour party boat deep sea fishing charter on 7/15/22. The boat was great, the trip was pleasant, it was easy to book online, and the crew was friendly & helpful, but there weren't enough crew members to handle all of the passengers on a full boat. I was without a working rod & reel for half of the fishing time and several other passengers around me had similar experiences. First, the line on my reel was so knotted that I couldn't drop the bait to the depth of the fish. After getting that corrected, we ran into a bit of bad luck when a nearby passenger hooked a remora fish, which tangled up 6 of our lines so badly that we had to cut them all. After getting that corrected, the captain ran the boat over my line and the passenger next to me. I didn't get a working rod for the remainder of the trip.

The price was right, although I guess you get what you pay for. They need to have more crew to help with cutting bait, keeping the rods & reels operating, measuring the fish, removing hooks, etc. It was too much for two people.

I purchased this experience for my parents and two other couples as a Christmas gift. I did all the research and even got them excited for the trip as our family has gone deep sea fishing before. I purchased the 6-hour public fishing charter that advertised with all these safety measures. I appreciate the reschedule due to the weather on the Thursday but after this trip the Friday charter should have been rescheduled as well. At arrival I noticed how different the boat looks from what I saw on the website we also noticed the amount of people and knew it wouldn’t be enough room for everyone. We get on the boat and the crew starts to give us safety guidelines and what we would be fishing for. The crew man said if someone falls over don’t try to save them just scream for one of us and we will get them out and stay dry (that would be impossible with only one crew person working). He also stated to just yell fire and that there was no smoking on the boat but then ask if there were smokers on the boat, I guess to let them smoke. The crew stated that we would be fishing for snapper, so everyone was excited to head on out. The boat ride was 1hr 30mins and it was HORRIBLE from start the waves were unsafe to travel the entire ride was unstable. There were older gentlemen that were soaked from the ride and needed to sit down because it was no way they could stand. The inside sat about 8-10 which means the rest of the guest had to hold on and stand for the entire ride. During the ride out a vomiting reaction started two from my party and three additional guest all sick. Your crew member was sick and was sleep the entire trip (like who does that) we saw him again at the end. So that means you have at least 5 sick people dangerous waves and one crew member to help us all. We finally get to area for fishing and the boat is still very shaky and unsafe. The guest attempt to fish and start catching fishing but every single fish was amberjack and out of season. We leave and go to another area same thing! Its 2022 don’t you have a fish finder! If you tell us we are fishing for snapper, why do we keep catching amberjacks? Not a single person on our charter left with anything and that insane a 6hr charter and all we brought back were sick dehydrated people WTH! The boat condition looked like it should just be a retired boat. The bathroom was more like a bucket nothing to clean or dry your hands and it was not stable enough to use it in the bucket so you can imagine that urin

I just wanted to share a review of our experience on our fishing trip. We went out 5/29/23 on the 8 am 4 hour trip. It was our family of 4. It was not a great experience due to the captain not seeming to get us on fish, even when everyone had put their poles up because NO ONE was getting a bite, he still sat there wasting time. He also did not do a great job of keeping the boat in a place that kept everyone’s lines from getting tangled, that was a constant battle. We have been on deep sea fishing trips before and never seemed to have quite the experience we had today. I just want to let you know that the deckhands did a wonderful job and they were very apologetic about the situation, although it was not their fault. I feel for them as well because they can’t make money if they don’t have any fish to clean. We actually gave a couple of tips to them because we felt they could use it because they tried. I never leave reviews, but I felt like you needed to be aware of this situation. We paid for the experience I understand, but we also paid to catch fish as well. I’m not trying to be negative or harsh but as I said we have been out on fishing trips before and never had an experience such as this.

Not worth the $30 a person The people working on the boat seemed like burnout meth users. We only saw dolphins for 5 minutes of the 90 minute trip. Two of the three workers kept shilling for the local restaurant and repeated the same story about some guy’s 10 million dollar yacht, which we did not see. Bizarro. No one wore a mask. One worker never spoke. They all could have used a shower, a shave, and a clothes washer.

This trip was to be the highlight of our vacation. I carefully chose which fishing charter to take. We selected their more expensive “semi charter” 6 hour trip because it seemed more likely to catch fish. Second day of snapper season and great weather. Should’ve been a no brained, right?

I should’ve realized on the way out that it wasn’t going to go well. The first mate told me he’d only been doing it for 6 months. He let me know that the marina had run out of cut squid because “no one had picked any up” at their supplier. All they brought for 18 fishermen was one box of frozen pogies. We caught a few snapper at the first spot and it went downhill from there. We stopped at 6 spots over 3 hours of fishing and only managed 11 keepers on the entire boat. How does this happen on the second day of the season when nobody has fished these reefs?

The telltale was that one person caught a small squirrel fish and cut it up for bait. He quickly caught two vermilion snapper and a trigger fish within 5 minutes. If we’d had cut squid everyone would have caught many fish. They were totally unprepared to provide us with a successful trip.

The only admission of fault came from the first mate telling me that “we should’ve had cut squid or live bait.” The captain only said “we just couldn’t find any that were biting.” Horse crap.

No acceptance of responsibility for taking our money and not fulfilling a best effort on their part.

Oh and when we got back a group had returned from a large party boat where a couple showed us the 6 large snapper they had brought back with tales of catching many fish on their boat and using squid.

Hudson Marina took our money and didn’t care about the disappointment of the 4 kids I took on the trip.

Typical tourist trap. Don’t get sucked in.
