About
Dolphin / Nature Tours : Our 2 hour tour takes you to see our resident Dolphin Pod in the calm waters of the Bays of Orange Beach, Alabama. After learning about the dolphins and taking lots of upclose pictures, we then take you into our beautiful bayous for an ecotour, where you may see wildlife ranging from Ospreys, Eagles, Deer or maybe even an Alligator! Smooth Sailing Tours: Come Sail Away with Cetacean Cruises Have you ever experienced a sailing adventure aboard a two-hull sailboat? Two hulls provide stability for a smooth ride without leaning to one side. Come enjoy a two-hour sail at sunset aboard the Cetacean, a 52-foot Hawaiian catamaran. Day sailing tours are great for the entire family! With the wind in our sails, the Cetacean skims along the waters of Orange Beach, Alabama. While out sailing, you’ll see coastal wildlife and marine life all around. Take in the sights and sounds as pelicans and cormorants dive into the water; bald eagles, egrets and sea gulls.

Our family spent three days at Gulf Shores, Alabama, in the first week of October, 2020. The area was still recovering from hurricane Sally and there already were fears of the approaching hurricane Delta. Most of our time we spent on the beach. However, Gulf Shores is known for its dolphins. When choosing which company to pick for our dolphin adventure, we randomly chose Cetacean Cruises. The vessel was a small one and there were about 15 people on it. As we were on the water, there was a much bigger boat also looking for dolphins. Beyond any doubt, we got much better deal: due to Captain Will's skillful maneuvering, we saw the first dolphin in about 10 minutes since we started the trip, and then the dolphins were continuously by the side of the boat. They would swim next to the boat and we had a unique experience of this very close encounter with the beautiful creatures. I attribute the success to Capt. Will.

We had a group of 23 RV's and this Cetacean Cruises delivered a great sunset cruise. Everyone working for this company was very nice and they went above and beyond to accommodate our group.
The night we went out the sky was overcast and the wind was blowing like crazy but we all had a great time and I know I will book again. I highly recommend sailing with this crew.

We sailed with Cetacean two years ago and since our kids brought friends this year, wanted to take them also. Another GREAT experience!! Dolphins were out showing off and Mother Nature provided a beautiful sunset. Onboard music and beverages were perfect also!

We enjoyed a beautiful sunset sail! The Captain and mate were fantastic. Took us straight out to see the dolphins, played great music, and let us enjoy our cocktails and the beautiful sunset on our way back to the Wharf. Great value & a great excursion. We’ll be back!

Incredible!! I booked a private four-hour cruise for ten people for a bachelorette party and it was so much fun! The staff were wonderful, the views were beautiful, and the cruise was relaxing. We even saw dolphins! I highly recommend Cetacean Cruises!! They went above and beyond my expectations. And I recommend booking at least a four hour cruise to be able to go to Pirates Cove for burgers and bushwackers ☺️🙌😋

My husband and I went on our first Cetacean Cruise Tuesday 7/21/20, they were fantastic and very caring. We had wonderful seats with another couple who were celebrating their anniversary as we were. The scenery and sunset were beautiful and our Captain brought is to see the dolphins while awaiting the sunset. Kudos to Scott the 1st mate and bartender and the playing of the theme song from Gilligan's Island was just the thing to set the fun!

Cetaean’s sunset dolphin cruise is, according to my wife, “The best dolphin cruise I’ve ever been on.” The combination of a cash bar with table service, sunset, and sailing can’t be beat.

The Cetacean, a smaller boat than many of the other cruises with a capacity of around 20, provides a more intimate experience. Sailing back to the dock into the sunset is great.

We went with our 3 kids and had a great time on the Dolphin & Nature Eco Tour. Captain Will was great with the kids, keeping the information PG & interesting, as well as letting the kids "drive" the boat. The smaller boat allowed for some great up close looks at the dolphins, much better than other larger boats i've been on before. Would highly recommend this cruise, especially to those with young kids.

I have been on dolphin cruises where small children have cried the whole cruise so this time I did my research and this sunset cruise seemed to be the only one with a weight limit so I figured no crying babies here—wrong! There was a family of 6 with a small child and the child cried the whole trip eliminating taking videos as I didn’t want a crying baby as my audio. Also the captain told of way too many of his accomplishments and stories I just wanted a quite cruise at sunset with my wife and kids not crying babies and a verbal resume. Also the cruise never hit the ocean only brackish water in the lagoon. But we did see dolphins and a sunset so 3 stars instead of 2

We have a weight minimum of 18 pounds. That means passengers weighing AT LEAST 18 pounds are welcome on board. We understand that crying babies can take away from an experience, but we have never advertised our Dolphin and Nature Sunset cruise as an "adults only" cruise. In fact, we advertise it as "fun for the whole family." If you wanted an experience geared more towards adults, we would have recommended our Sunset Sailing excursion, although children are welcome on these cruises, too. We have also NEVER advertised that we go out into the Gulf. We strongly emphasize everywhere that we stay in the back bays of Orange Beach's Intracoastal Waterway. The Dolphin and Nature sunset cruise is a narrated tour, as advertised. It is unfortunate that crying children prevented you from fully enjoying your experience. We invite you come out with us again on a sailing excursion, which also cruises in the back bays only. -Elise

We saw so many dolphins I lost count! They came right up to the boat! Open pontoon boat was able to go into shallow waters where the bigger double deck boats had to stay farther away. Our captain was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about dolphins very entertaining. There were also 2 awesome bartenders on board to meet our needs. Recommend sunset cruise because the views with the sunset is breathtaking
