This fountain is a staple in downtown Montgomery! They decorate and change the water color for holidays and it's definitely a sight to see if you're in that area!

Court square was the scene of many important events in US history. The fountain itself is ornate and attractive in its own right. Getting to it can be a bit of a challenge as it is in the center of a traffic circle.

A fountain, a fountain . . . the south loves their fountains but this is in a very unique and historical spot where Rosa Parks made her stand in the same spot they used to trade slaves at the Slave Market. History.

Beautiful. Historic place, sad place, if you look with your soul and understand the area and what it was used for...we have had many changes in the South, and we still have many more to go, but don't miss this beauty.

Was approached by a local as I was taking pictures and given extensive details of this landmark. People in Montgomery are just amazing with their ease of communicating their history.

A Montgomery landmark since 1886. It's worth a visit. The bus stop where Rosa Parks began her journey into history in December 1954 is right across the street.

Oldstyle fountain lies in the middle of traffic. Approach is challenging by walking, because cars go around.
