Very large cemetery with paved drives through the extensive grounds; the paving has occasional bumprs and potholes needing repair. The mausoleums are impressive. Many of the important citizens of Mobile are buried here.

Southern gothic cemetery...complete with Magnolias, Spanish moss, sad weather-worn statues of angels. Worth it alone for the Confederate Rest which also has a monument commemorating the ill-fated crew of a Civil War submarine that was built right there in Mobile.
