Stopped in at lunchtime when a mid week service was going on. It is an awe inspiring building, glorious in it's detail. Also love the carillon on which hymns are played at noon.

It is very hard to imagine this parish was once part of the diocese of Quebec! Not only is the church impressive, but to sit and contemplate the time when it was built, and the distance between Mobile and Quebec... the French were truly "magnifique"!...More

The history and architecture of this building is amazing. The stain glass windows are from Munich, Germany and are beautiful. They are currently being restored. There is a spiral stairway several pews back from the santuary that leads to the crypt where several bishops are...More

Took only 15 minutes to see, but very beautiful and worthwhile to see. There were many tombs present. This is a short walk from downtown. The grounds were pretty. The altar, stained glass, gold lattice work and church were beautiful. The exterior columns are amazing.

The stained glass is beautiful. Yet unless you are really into cathedrals or are Catholic, it would be easy to leave this one off of your list.

This is well worth a call in if you are in this part of the City. A beautiful, peaceful oasis in the middle of a busy sector.

I love catholic churches even though I am not Catholic. We could see this from our hotel and I had to go see it in person. The park in front of it set off the exterior, the twin spires were striking. Inside the red and...More
