Something about large statues that just makes me happy. A bonus that they also had a huge Christmas tree still up. Great Photo Opportunities. It was also conveniently located near a couple museums we also checked out.

I guess this goes with expectations and mine were not met. It's a wide area with only a few statues around it. It really wasn't worth going to see. Instead go up the street a few blocks and enjoy the Spanish Park. It's got a lot to see and is in the shade. As a matter of fact, there are parks all over downtown Mobile and all of them are nicer than this one.

The first Mardi Gras celebrations in the US were in Mobile, AL and they are still happening. Unlike the ones in New Orleans, these celebrations are very family oriented. They toss moon pies during the parades.
Mardi Gras Park is located in down town Mobile and has majestic monuments to honor the celebration. It is a wonderful green space that can be used for outdoor festivals. It is located near the Mobile History Museum, which I also found worthy of a positive review.

Perfect location for the Mardi Gras parade! We are out of towners and a local recommended this location because it was a safe, family friendly area as opposed to the others.
Right next to the park, adjacent to the Renaissance Hotel

This small city park has very little to see or do as a tourist attraction. It does have some cool Mardi Gras statues around the parameter with historical narratives. It was interesting, but not something to seek out while on vacation. The park is perfect for city events like a Mardi Gras parade, outdoor concert or temporary market. Parking is not available other than street and garage parking for the whole downtown area.

It's wonderful that this city owned vacant lot has finally been put to some proper use but the cheesy plastic statues really detract from it.

This is a very nice small park right in the middle of other tourist attractions and it's easy walking distances to all of them.. There isn't that much there right now but they plan to include a pavilion, picnic areas, and an open air market.
For now you can bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a quite lunch on the green space which we did. After eating we walked the parameter of the park and looked at the colorful, extremely well done statues which represent mardi gras traditions. If you are visiting the museums in the area, be sure to check it out.

This is a great location for a picnic on a nice weather day. Conveniently located near Fort Conde, Museum of the City of Mobile, The Exploreum and Cooper Riverside Park, There are a number of statues and markers giving a little insight into Mardi Gras in Mobile, AL.

Very interesting and pretty Mardi Gras statues around the park. Nice clean park, but nothing to do there, no benches/tables or play equipment.

This Park is built on the Old Fort Conde land with a few remnant stones from the original foundation. It has Statues around the Park, good for Photo Ops and learning about The people represented. Cost nothing, if you are walking about, take a look.
