Downtown area great for exploring although it is much smaller than most think it would be. Reminds me of French Quarter in New Orleans although smaller. Can walk the entire downtown area in about an hour. Several great places to eat or have a drink. Be sure to drop by the Bier Garten for fabulous food and great beers or... More

Mostly restaurants and bars. A couple galleries a police museum a bookshop and like 3 shops. Was hoping to have more shops so that could improve. Why so many eateries? Pretty buildings. Clean. Felt safe. Only a couple homeless. I think the special meters to collect money for homeless is genius and probably cuts down on begging. Nice community garden.... More

Dauphin Street was not well kept. It was hard to walk down the street, it dirty. There some great old buildings but hard to appreciate them. There were a lot of empty/closed businesses.

Dauphin Street is nice to find a restaurant, bars, or music places. Walking around you can sit at Bienvville square enjoy your day. This street is sad. No good shops. Restaurants look very tired. Street and sidewalks are dirty and not maintained. Not worth the walk.

Dauphin Street near Water Street is called the LODA. There are many places to visit, eat and shop at. Two nice parks to hang out in.

The Dauphin Street strip has lots of boutiques and great restaurants. I learned that Mobile, AL is the birthplace of the Mardi Gras. The architecture and structure of the buildings are very artistic and historical. There was a Loda Arts Festival which was great. There was also a jazz orchestra providing music for the festival.

We enjoyed a walk on dolphin Street from the riverfront up many blocks. On Sunday afternoons once a month A festival occurs. The street is filled with old quaint shops and restaurants. There are a fair number of empty locations. It was a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.

It's not New Orleans but same flavor. Fun street. Lots of redevelopment going on in the area and I'm looking forward to checking it out again in the future. Very walkable.
