I went to the river cruise with mixed expectations. Some reviewed it as really good and some the opposite. Okay, let me get started with ticket prices- they were priced reasonably. I say this because after getting on the cruise, I saw the duration was not as short, it was long enough for it to be called value for money.... More

A good way to look at Melaka from the river. The houses are painted and decorated in a artistic good way.

Just like the Amsterdam river but smaller version of it - like the one as well in Sri Lanka. Best spot to take a picture is infront of the Quay Hotel. The water is a bit murky but no weird smell. They have a very interesting history of this river.

Kids got really bored because there nothing to see for them. I would probably just walk the cafe stretch and experience the river, and skip the rest of the river if traveling with young children.

30 mins max. River looks dirty but you can see some great artwork on houses. Goes up river 15 mins turns round and back 15 mins. Saw a huge snake or lizard. At least the trip is cheap enough.

The city claims to have improved the water quality of the Malacca river. This may well be the case. HOWEVER THERE IS STILL PLENTY OF ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT. Various foul water drains still discharge into the river and it stinks

My husband and I took one of the 40 minute river cruises. First I would note that sitting in the front is not the best idea (we were splashed a couple of times). The boat was crowded, but it was easy to see things and take photos. On the way out they play music and then have pre-recorded bi-lingual info... More

It was a relaxing, cooling river ride. It showed us many of the city's places. It was almost 6.5km. Try to take it before sunset where the weather would be nice and not sunny and you will enjoy watching it by night where most of the buildings facing the river are lighted. Sometimes at the weekend or public holidays, there... More

Beware at the wood decking along the melacca river. The tourism board and town council in melacca not really serious doing the frequent check and maintain the wood decking along the river melacca. I spotted many spoil and root wood decking there, these may create high risk pitfalls for tourist while they enjoy the scenery while walking on it. I... More
