This is the first rotating theathre i ever had. It is a memorable experience. The breathtaking stunts and dazzling aerial together with an awesome rotating stage (Southeast Asia permanent show theatre seats 2000) makes for an incredible experience. The show itself encapsulate human nature with mother nature to create a harmonious tale with good visual display. The momentum of the show ensures that you are absorb in the storyline. The Bountiful Harvest of Baiyue runs from 6th till 29th October. Mon till Fri - 8.30pm, Sat 3.30pm & 8.30pm, Sun 3.30pm A flat rate of RM 5 is charged (TnG) to park at the multi storey carpark. The backdrop is stunning, and the narrative richly showcases traditional Malacca art. - Zenn T1 contributionCaptivating cultural journey and experienceI recently visited Encore Melaka Theatre and was blown away by the performance. The sound and visual effects were out of this world, making the show a true sensory delight. The rotating auditorium added a unique touch, fully immersing us in Melaka's rich history and vibrant culture. The talented performers and seamless integration of technology made it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Melaka!Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 1, 2024
- 刘亦杰 初1 contributionEncore Melaka the experienceEncore Melaka truly focuses on the history and culture of Melaka, telling the untold stories of Melaka that you will see in your text book. They even included some hidden meanings and messages throughout the play. the stage is unlike anything I've seen before, a stage that can spin 360 degrees is truly something unique and innovative, combined with the choreography it's nearly perfect. The screen can rotate and expand in various ways making the scene even more astonishing. There are some scenes that stands out the rest like (spoilers ahead) the scene where the water dropped from the ceiling and onto the performers is truly something that comes out from a Christopher Nolan film, words can't describe how beautiful it is.Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 3, 2024
- Keith S6 contributions又见马六甲This is a great show in Melaka, the Encore Melaka is a top class show that visitor must watch. - Kamarulariffin AzaniPerak, Malaysia4 contributionsAmazingA must visit place when you come to Melaka. The architecture of the building is so amazing. I was there on July 7 this year during the re-opening of Encore Melaka theatre after this place was temporary closed during covid 19. This theatre was huge which can fit 1,800 people in one time. The largest theatre is south east asia with 360° of rotating seat 😲. The show tells you about history of Melaka and the rich culture of Melaka with a combination of the advance technology of the theatre. After the 530pm show ends you can watch sunset by the sea and you can see the big led lighting surrounding the building and it is beautiful 😍Definitely worth spending. I will come back and bring more friends and family to visit this place.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 6, 2024
- Trek275886084001 contributionAmazing 360 rotating platform theatreIn October last year, I brought my family to Encore Melaka. We really enjoyed the acrobat show named The Bountiful Harvest of Baiyue. The show is really amazing with the 360-degree rotating platform. They really did good jobs by presenting such a good and high-quality performance for the audiences. It's really worth it to watch the show!Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 6, 2024

After reading the mixed reviews of the show we were skeptical about going there, but we had one more day in Malacca with nothing more to do so we booked our tickets for the show.
What impressed us the most was the revolving stage and the light and sound technologies used for creating the stage backgrounds.
There were 6 stories used to show a bit of culture and history of Melaka and were nicely narrated in the starting of the show itself. Presentation of some stories was good but some were just abstract with no proper play or act.
All in all, a good show put up. We didn’t regret going to the show, but yes expensive for what you get.

I've been here once not to enjoy the theater or the show but just to take picture at the exterior part of Melaka's recent new landmark.
We heard people come here not only to enjoy shows at this theater but also taking picture of its unique exterior design. So we came here to just take pics. It turns out that the pics are nice.
It's around 10 minutes drive from the old town of Melaka. No admission fee to just take photos at the exterior.

The special effects were fantastic and it was a unique concept to have the guest platform rotate to different scenes and settings.
The show started off well with the origins of Melaka then the coming of Cheng Ho from China but everything after that was disappointing. Thereafter, there was no plot nor storyline and the scene they did show seemed too random. Good the show was tri-lingual but this also meant to prolong the show time. Would have preferred more historical information about Melaka through the ages and even some explaination of the Baba Nyonya.

The first time I traveled to Malacca, I accidentally saw Encore Melaka performing at the Red House Square, and I didn't hesitate to watch the performance at 5:30 pm with my friends. Seriously, I was amazed that the Grand Theater is very modern, there is an ocean projection on the top of the theater, the stage structure is intricate, the audience seats rotate 360°, the actors are very enthusiastic, and you can watch the sunset by the sea after watching the performance, which is super beautiful! Therefore, I highly recommend everyone to come and experience it! You won't be disappointed!

has been here 2 times for 2 different performances, both was fantastic with very pleasant experience. really hope this theatre can be put to good use to provide more brilliant performances and let more malaysians to perform and shine themselves on stage. First when i went it was a rainy day usher was even with umbrella to shed us from an uncovered area from the carpark. But for the next visit the usher girl in the hall was abit rude when she found out i didnt exchange the physical ticket at the counter, no instruction was given to me to exchange to physical ticket as i was let in at the check in point with my ticket in my phone. and on my first visit i was told that i can go in with my ticket in the phone without the physical ticket, so this was the only small down part from these 2 wonderful experiences.

Very impressive live performance and immersive visual effect really worth the price. I like the rotating seat which can change stage view in a short time. Is a must to go place if you come to Melaka especially for a tech guy like me who like to experience and enjoy new technology.

The theatre really make me impress, never saw before a theatre that will turn 360 degree.
Recommended to visit for all travelers when visit to Malacca.
After show can watch the sunset, suitable for check in.
All can be done in one place, sunset viewing, photo shooting and watching great performance.

Recently had the opportunity to watch the newly relaunched Encore Melaka Theatre Show. I've got to say this, you will never ever find one Theatre that advance as Encore Melaka in Melaka itself or maybe Malaysia, not forgetting to mention the external building is so Instagrammable. The entire storyline basically tells you about the historical of Melaka and it divided into a few scene which the "Mother" scene touches my heart truly. Overall it is an unforgettable experience and it is definitely a must visit place when you're here in Melaka. Oh and the seat actually rotate 360 degree and it is truly one of a kind!

Hi, can anyone advise if standard seating is good enough or should i go for premium? Centre of the hall or side, does it make a difference in the enjoyment of the show?
Written December 7, 2019
I thought Row AA in section D3 gave the correct blend of distance and clarity. It is at the middle of the stage and has a bit more leg room. I don’t remember if this was considered a “premium” section though. Enjoy the show.

Children age 8 & 10 same price as adults? Can bring 10 month old baby?
Written October 25, 2019
Not advisable to bring babies as the presentation are quite loud & might frightened them. And when the baby cries, it will disrupt the performance & audiences.
Written October 25, 2019
We are tourists & did not anticipate attending. Are shorts and t-shirts okay to wear?
