Muzium TLDM - Tourists can Consider Visiting in Melaka. Review by Dr H C Matthew Sim. Interesting museum but small. Helicopter is there. There could be more exhibits of hardware. Perhaps there was a lack of space. Exhibits were limited but good quality. See my youtube channel Dr H C Matthew Sim. Regards Dr H C Matthew Sim

This museum is set up indoor and outdoor and is included in the price ticket from the Portuguese ship across the street. We spent about 45 minutes in the museum which had quite a few pieces of military equipment for you to take pictures with, up and close. There is also a ship outside that you can go on (but not in). The uniforms and information on the type of medals was an interesting read.
If you are specifically interested in military museums, the visit is worth it. If you have a family with children that don't particular have an interest in military history, I think the museum would be boring.

There are two parts for this museum, Indoor & outdoor. Helicopter is the most popular indoor item & battle ship at outdoor. Their aircond is not functionning well & a bit warm in the museum. Using the same ticket with Samudera Museum to visit here

It is a small naval museum dedicated to Royal Malaysian Navy. I just stumble across it upon my return from Maritime museum. Entrance must be low, less than 10 MYR, as I don't recall any financial scars!!!
It is housed in a medium size facility. There are two levels - highlighting important folks, short history, a helicopter and ton loads of ways to tie rope knots. There is a small PT / fast attack boat housed outside.
There is a control tower like structure - depicting control / command center of a ship on the upper floor(s). Place was deserted. There were couple of russian(s) and few Asian (probably Japanese) couple in the facility.
I had a ton of fun. It is my kind of museum. If you are interested in naval history / history - I would highly recommend this place. It is a good spot for break from shopping / attractions / buildings and beaches. (Mind you: there is no Air-Conditioning in the facility).
It is a good place to visit with teens. People with limited mobility would not able to check out the PT boat. Otherwise there is a ramp around the displays. I spent around an hour there. However, most folks were done in about 30 minutes.
