Being an occasional hiker, this was no easy feat. Moreover, i brought a friend whom was a total newbie, to hike up this mountain with me. It wasn't a very good decision. Nontheless, lots of fun and memories.

Im a beginner in trekking mountain so this climb to mt ledang is especially tough on me. Whoever wish to climb it really must train and do not underestimate stairs climbing training. So i went without trainining and didnt manage to trek to the submit due to time constrain. It is physically and mentally challenging as i have given up... More

Gunung Ledang is well managed, one of the few in Malaysia with proper ranger station and guides. As a results the trek are quite clean. For nature and outdoor lovers, Ledang summit offers an amazing view, again not many Malaysia mt does (e.g. most G7 summit has terrible summit view XD) Have been climbing Ledang three times and it is... Not much of a view throughout except at the summit. A good workout hiking up to the summit and coming down. Can be done in 1 day (8 hours)

Back to nature experince. Large trees and good varity of birds to spot. Took us a while to hike up. They have guide service. Bring water as you'll need it. There is a waterfall nearby. Ice cool water there.

Not as safe and not as picturesque as many other mountains in Malaysia. I would much prefer to climb those in East Malaysia, which have more challenge and a more breathtaking view at the summit.

Mount Ophir is known for its cool water fall. There are 3 levels where one can rest and take a dip comfortably - the obvious is the higher you go, the less people it is. But the climb, though easier due to pathway been build, it is quite taxing. But the journey self is well worth it and the destination,... More

We climbed this mountain in June. It was a fantastic experience. The trail is clean, and well maintained. It is not for intermediate hikers, though. There is lots of very steep ascent, up ladders, and with climbing ropes, hand over hand, as well as lots of scrambling over logs, and the trail itself very steep for most of the walking... More

Drive from Subang Jaya area to Tangkak Toll exit via PLUS takes about 2 hours. Another 15 minutes drive to Taman Negara Gunung Ledang Office. Check in & registering at the office take sometime, as we are required to report every single items that we are bringing up to the mountain from clothes down to every single sweet & wrapper.... Just 2 hours' drive over the border, gunung ledang is a world away from the concrete if singapore. Make no mistake it is a challenging 6 hrs or so of hill walking with a decent amount of climbing. But with pristine trail conditions and cool crisp air it is a very peaceful day's trekking. The rope climbs and ladders also... More
