    Best Beach in North Goa
One of the best beach in North Goa with lots of shacks and restaurants around. We stayed in one of the best hotel close to Candolim beach which is Seashell suites and Villas. Candolim beach has huge parking and lot of stalls to do shopping and also different types of restaurant with multiple cuisines. And water sports activities.

    Great well kept clean beach
Great place to go to soak up the sun during the day and party the night away in the evening. The beach also has an incredible view of the sunset each evening. I was amazed at how clean most of the beach was You can get sun beds for free, along as you buy a few drinks from the bar

"Candolim Beach: A Vibrant Tourist Hub with Something for Everyone"
Candolim beach, situated near Fort Aguda and other famous beaches in Goa, is a popular destination that draws numerous tourists year-round. Its appeal lies in the variety of water sports activities, beach shacks, and a wide range of restaurants to suit every budget. The presence of numerous pure vegetarian dining options further enhances its attractiveness for those seeking vegetarian dining experiences. While the beach itself is picturesque, it can become quite crowded due to its popularity.

Underrated beach - not too much crowd
Candolim beach is a beach like any other beach in North Goa but has far less crowd that nearby beaches like the Baga beach. There are no shacks here. But the way to the beach is lined with many shops to buy beachwear and other items. Overall neat beach with a watch house to ensure safety in peak tide. There are many good bars and restaurants nearby.

    Crowded beach
Too much of crown and dirty beach. Due to lot of beach activities going on this beach lot of tourist flock here and leave the rubbish. There is very less space between the sunbeds and actual beach.

Candolim, Goa…been twice, can’t wait to go back!
Candolim is about an hour drive from Goa airport, taxi £25 tops. Candolim is a busy tourist area with the best beach and caters for the British tourists extremely well. This was our second visit to Candolim, our last was Feb 2020, this time we came over Christmas. The difference is that it is busier with Indian tourists coming to Goa to celebrate. Don’t be worried, it’s a great experience, really busy yet utterly safe. The main road has an immense amount of restaurants, the beach has the Shacks, these are large restaurants that are put up at the beginning and taken down at the end of the season. This year they were late going up and weren’t ready until December. Apparently the licenses from the government were late in being issued. Cost to eat and drink…you can do this very cheaply, about £25 per head per day is ample. Kingfisher beer £1 a bottle. Lemon pancake for breakfast £1.20 Gin and tonic £2.20 including can of Schweppes mixer. Steak and chips £5.50 Spaghetti carbonara £4.50 You get the gist!! We stayed at the Seashell Hotel, posh apparently, I’d agree that it is definitely one of the nicest and right on the action of the town. We flew with Gulf air, again good. Enjoy a holiday here. Avoid Calangute at night , it’s stupid busy and not many Westerners.

As per my recommendation it is the 2nd best beach in North Goa. We came here early morning to enjoy the beach, high tides and stayed for many hours on this beautiful sandy beach. Parking is cheap, Rs. 100 for 12 hours. Like other beaches in North Goa, it is less crowded. Highly recommended for sea bathing. Anyone can easily spent a day very smoothly. Views are awesome with spectacular sunset. Strongly recommended.

The beach is long and sandy and has a number of shacks set up along its length.

The shack staff will try to get you to visit their places as you walk along.

There are a number of feral dogs on the beach - most are not threatening but they do congregate in packs at dusk which can be intimidating.

I would like to thank papas Kensington Palace, I purchased a beautiful Topaz and diamond and topaz ring, a turquoise and 36 diamond surround, set in 9kt gold. A pair of topaz and diamond earrings, and two diamonds placed in my own 9kt collar, I could not be more pleased with the valuation, 3 times more than I paid. Papa and Shirley, and family were wonderful people, I cannot praise them enough. I shall return and purchase more beautiful pieces, next year thank you papa😘

We had one of the better experiences at this beach especially with Motilal (very kind beach worker who works at Jackson Beach Cafe). We didn’t find this beach to be as packed as the others and stayed for hours. I recommend this over Calangute beach if you’re in North Goa.

Beach is perfect with good waves to play in. Not too busy but good food and little shops near by. Beach chairs are free as long as you order something from the beach shack. Women who massage your feet or scalp are lovely and don't pester you. We went back a couple of times.

The beach was nice since it’s nature and I appreciate nature. However, too many people mainly you’ll see mostly locals there, very dirty, not maintained properly and litters are everywhere. We had a good time there (me and my friends). The people there who were selling things and all, they were working very hard and appreciate their enthusiasm. It’s also a must visit budget friendly place for tourists staying in Goa.

Still here and having a good time but wanted to give a word of warning to people considering it. We arrived 28th December and obviously the town was very busy with tourists, mostly Indian. New Year's Eve was a great experience with fireworks lasting for nearly an hour, however large crowds of young drunk Indian men spilt the experience. Having stayed in several different area's of Goa and Kerala in the past few years I would definitely avoid Candolim for future visits. The town is extremely busy and unfortunately not appealing, some good restaurants but overall a feeling of being in Veronica's in Tenerife at it's worst ( for those that can remember it !!!) The beach has been a major disappointment, full of rubbish every day and extremely crowded at the main points with Indian tourists who don't seem to appreciate what they have got. The beach bars in general are large with neon signs and loud music, not the more sedate toes in the sand and sunset experience in some of the South Goa resorts. It clearly suits some people as the bars towards the end of the beach road are full of english tourists, English breakfasts and premiership football, and if that's what you want you will love it (but Benidorm is a lot closer) We all have our own preferences but if you want traditional Goa, long sandy beautiful beaches and cosy lunches and evening meals on the beach this is not for you.
