Traveling through and came across this beautiful church. Though the doors were locked we were able to call the phone number listed online and within minutes we were greeted by an absolutely wonderful member of the Malbis family. She graciously opened the church and gave us a private tour. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this beautiful church.

If you can catch the church open, do go in. So awesome. Light a candle for your loved one. Enjoy the serenity. Then go outside and tour the cemetery. Very interesting. The Greek history is all abound.

I saw this building on a calendar several years ago and decided that I would visit someday. I moved to Biloxi MS several years ago. My daughter came for a visit recently and we were in AL and accidentally came upon the church. It is just so beautiful!! I sat inside for awhile and basked in the serenity. It is... More

Our church group arrange a tour of the church. It is absolutely beautiful! The church is owned by the Malbis family, and one of the relatives gave us the history of the church. It was a great experience.

I'd visited this beautiful church in its unlikely location some 30 years ago with a dear friend who grew up nearby. Unfortunately, my next visit there this week was for his funeral. Nonetheless, it was an amazing experience to see this beautiful place again with older and wiser eyes. The design of the interior is awe-inspiring, an asset for any... More

This is a beautiful church out in the middle or a rural area. It is filled with paintings, other art and history. It is truly spectacular. The ceilings and walls are covered with paintings depicting events in the bible. It is a must see if you are in coastal Alabama. It is located just south of I-10.

This church building is absolutely stunning. The architecture is beautiful & the interior murals & ornate decorations are gorgeous. I live about 10 miles away & generally take visiting family and friends to tour it. It is one of those places you could easily pass without paying it much attention, but it is worth the time to stop & see... More

You'll be enthralled with the story about the close knit, self sufficient community, its sacrifice, accomplishments, and determination to create something wonderful to worship in and pay homage to the God who enabled them to thrive. Luminious Greek Orthodox interior, splendid murals and paintings. The once well kempt grounds have begun to deteriorate, but those who know how important this... More

This is a step into our history. A very knowledgable member informed us in a short time of how this all happened here in the Mobile area. He had all of the quarities of a good speaker along with his own personal love of the Church.
