Wow, what a treat. This museum is a massive collection of military memorabilia including many jeeps, tanks, helicopters, etc. most of which are in working condition. The veteran volunteer docents were a wealth of knowledge and greatly added to the experience. Do not expect a slick Smithsonian type of museum. This museum is jam packed and bursting at the seems and allows you to get close to everything. Don't miss it if you are traveling to Huntsville.

This museum is packed with tanks, Jeeps, motorcycles, helicopters, uniforms, dioramas etc. The “Merci” boxcar was of interest and when you climb the stairs you can see a view of the floor of the museum. The diorama of the trenches from World War One was especially well done. You can spend several minutes just looking at the various scenes that are depicted. This museum is well worth the effort to visit those people interested in history and in military hardware.

This museum is very well stocked with an impressive collection of the history of our military. I wish I had more time to spend here to read more things and pay closer attention to the items on display. The gentleman offering their free time to educate us on everything in the collection was amazing as well. Thanks for the incredible time we were able to spend here. I highly suggest visiting!!! When you are done you will want to leave more the the $5.00 donation they ask of you to view the vehicles and items on display.

This place is incredible. I don’t know where they got all of this stuff. Well worth the visit and time spend. I could have spent much more time here. My 10 year old loved all of the exhibits, models, guns and tanks. He is a big fan or war items. The museum is very clean, friendly and well laid out. There is a lot more stuff than I have ever seen at a place like this. The admission price is extremely fair and you will more than likely be wanting to pay more in the donation box. Lots of very friendly veterans walking around answering questions and working on equipment. I loved it much much more than the space centers broken displays, at 6x the cost. There was ALOT of stuff to look at for the size of the building. Can’t wait until they expand the building.

Great place to see all kinds of memorabilia, artifacts, and military equipment! There is so much there to see! You can see exhibits that begin with the American Revolution and take you all the way to present day. My husband is the war memorabilia buff, but I really enjoyed seeing the things they had displayed. Only drawback is that it’s all crammed into such a small place. The city of Huntsville or state of Alabama really should give them a larger space and more funding.

This is a super cool museum. I have never seen a military museum with so much personal memorabilia. It has a very intimate and personal feel, and things you won't see at other military museums. Every single staff member went out of their way to make us feel welcome and really knew their stuff. Made sure to leave a review to say thank you because these guys work really hard at what they do and more people should see what they have to offer.

Took my wife and three kids to the museum and were greeted by a couple very nice gentlemen who were available to answer any questions we had. The museum is great. Set in an airplane hangar, they seem to fit so much in one place. Quiet a good collection. The caliber of the items is truly at a world class level, yet you feel like it is your own private place to walk through. We will surely be coming back.

With probably less than a thousandth part of the funding of the Space Museum, it is somehow much better! Let's support this place!

Very nice collection covering the revolutionary war through the more recent War on Terror era. The building is smaller but extremely densely packed with a great collection including numerous tanks, jeeps and even helicopters! I could see this being a big hit, especially if you have any ww2 movie or video game buffs in the crowd. Also, as someone who loved Battlefield 1, some very familiar weaponry from then is in the collection as well as a really cool diorama depicting trench warfare in ww1 Europe.

Don’t be fooled by the plain exterior of the building. Inside, there’s a treasure trove of military history! If you’re lucky, you’ll have an incredibly knowledgeable young man guide you around the tanks, keeps, helicopters, weapons, uniforms and other military items crossing multiple wars and generations.

Largely the collection of one man, there’s plenty to keep you engaged, including the oldest known Jeep Pygmy from 1940. There’s a nominal fee for entry but consider donating more so they can restore the historical vehicles they’ve amassed. Free parking.

Went here with multigenerational family for Memorial Day. Had a preteen, two seniors, my husband and myself. Best collection of military engagement from all U.S. history including pieces from other countries we interfaced. Tells local connections as well as unique pieces i.e. the Alabama Merci train car from France, 1 of 49 in the U.S. sent with gifts from the people of France to thank U.S. veterans for helping them become free from the Nazis. We’ve lived in many states and have traveled extensively. This is a museum not to miss, especially if primary sources help you connect with the past. True labor of love by the volunteers over the years. LOVE that this is run by volunteers and not the government. True Patriots here. No spins. Come explore things you’d never see in a regular museum. Very interesting.
