I went with friends in the spring to see their azaleas (3,800+ and growing!). Some lovely varieties. My favorite area was the woodland natives garden, both for the great collection of native plants that like shade, but also for the grove of trees it's in--the kind of trees that could fairy tales and Druids. Way cool. Enjoyed the fern collection... More

Beautiful garden to explore with a date or with the family. You can plan a whole day of play. Take a Frisbee or football to toss around. Take a family picnic. Take a date for an early evening romantic picnic. Overall great place for just about any activity.

I have been to a lot of business-related social events here and the venue and staff never disappoint.

In light of Huntsville Alabama other attractions, this one seems to be lost in the shuffle. This place not as famous as the Space Center can still hold it's own. There's much to see, whether it may be avian interests, plant or tree sightings, and places to conduct any kind of event:Banquets and weddings to name a few.

This Botanical Gardens was very nice. We didn't get to see the Butterfly Garden because it started pouring down rain. We were offered a Rain Check for the following day but we were leaving Huntsville the following day as we were going to the Huntsville Space Center. If we go again, it will be on a less humid time of... More

We hadn't expected to enjoy this Botanical Gardens as much as we did. It is a lovely respite of flowers, ponds, lake, geese, lily pads, and benches--a perfect place to chat, reflect, and wander. The herb garden is tended by a cadre of volunteers who were thinning their herb beds when we were visiting. They unexpectedly offered us some tossed... More

The gardens are a beautiful place to go with friends or family for a leisurely afternoon. If you have small children it is best to bring a wagon or stroller as they are not readily available. It's nice that you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch and your own cooler.
