I have no idea why this attraction has such a high rating. First and foremost, the animals are not well cared for. Very small animals are allowed to room around moving vehicles. Caged animals do not have roaming space. The animals do not look healthy. Second, absolutely do not enter in your own car if you care about scratches or worse on your vehicle doors. The rams especially scratched and dented our doors. This was my first experience in a safari park. Based on how unpleasant it was, it may be my last.

We had no idea what we were getting into here. We were in Huntsville for the weekend and our driving through the mountains and saw this in google. We pulled in and you see immediately “in line” and are stuck. There was no way to exit until you got to the paying gate. That took ONE HOUR! We just sat and occasionally moved a foot or two. No joke.

Once we did get up there the girl taking entrance fees was very friendly and advised they were not offering the Jeep rentals because of the virus so you were taking a risk to drive a nice car through. The steers, donkeys, llamas, deer, ponies, yaks, etc, etc., come right up to your car to get food pellets from you. If your window is rolled down they are coming in face first! I thought I was fast enough but had a donkey in my face and dumped my pet food all over the inside of our car.

Several of the animals had huge horns and did come up against our car but we escaped unscathed thankfully. We did have to go to the car wash to remove some mud and mouth smudges and to vacuum out the car.

Kids would love this and it was okay. I did like the fact that there wasn’t a bunch of walking and getting dirty. Not a bad hours visit.

We took our Granddaughter to her “first ever” safari park - the Harmony Park Safari. She had the most fun.....EVER! Admission was $11 each and a bucket of food was $10. You could get refills on the same day for an additional $5.00. Needless to say, we went through the park 3 times and got one refill.

There were lots of deer and Emus, horses, goats, ostriches, peacocks, some lamas, turtles & tortoises, a Chanel, a giraffe, a gator, and probably many more I’ve left off. The Zebras were off site while birthing their young. A bit disappointing (to me) was the petting zoo was closed due to Covid. The owner said she was hoping to reopen it next year. There were lots & lots of pigs & piglets wondering throughout the grounds as well.

The animals, especially the Emus & deer want al the food you’ll give them. They’re quite aggressive and we had one deer try to put his front feet up into the driver’s window but we pushed him away. If you don’t want to feed them, simply roll up your window - they’ll go away. - but they will follow you around the park.

The park was good and the experience for our Granddaughter was well worth the trip and the admission price.

I took my 7 and 10 year old here, and they loved feeding the animals. The roads are a little rough. You can buy a cup of animal feed for $2 or a bucket for $10. Refills are half off. Admission was $11 for adults and $9 for kids. The animals are not shy at all. They'll come to your windows. It was mostly farm animals (cows, goats, little pigs) deers, llamas, little horses, ostriches. I saw one Zebra. There was one giraffe locked in a cage . Also, an alligator locked in a cage too. Nothing exotic as in the true sense of a safari, but the kids had fun feeding the animals. I was worried about the animals scratching my car, but it wasn't too bad. Little scratches here and there. Would recommend for kids .

We called and checked the website before we drove over an hour to get there. We went last year in March and rented vehicles at the park to go thru. They no longer do that but that fact isn’t documented anywhere. We were going to end up paying $70 plus food pellets for only the two people near the windows to be able to be interactive with the animals. BUMMER. We would NEVER have driven there had we known they didn’t rent junk vehicles to go thru anymore. Manager wasn’t nice. Matter of fact and also said they were NOT going to put the change on their website. We won’t be going back for sure. Big disappoint to all 6 kids in the cat

I thought my two young daughters would enjoy the experience, so we went. You pay upon checking, $11 per person in the vehicle, where you can also purchase food for the animals. Once you go through that you definitely get up close and personal, particularly if you have food, as the animals come right up to the vehicle and sometimes stick their heads in while you are feeding them. There are a few "exotic" animals like a zebra and a giraffe (which is not walking loose in the safari area), but most are common like mini-horses, deer, steers, etc. It was fun for what it was and still worth the experience.

A family member told me about this after hearing that we were visiting Huntsville. I'm so glad that they did! My 6 year old loved this. When you arrive it is free to drive through, and they only charge you for the feed. (Go ahead and get the $10 bucket. It's worth not running out. esp if you have multiple kids.) You can drive through as many times as you want! zebras, buffalo, cows, emu, goats and even a giraffe will stick their heads right into your window! They aren't shy! lol (only roll your windows down about half way, or you might be leaving with a few extra friends lol) My daughter loved this and it was definitely a fun experience for us both! The only minor letdown was that their reptile house that you can normally walk through was closed due to COVID, but that is completely understandable and we still had a lovely time!

They should advertise that they no longer rent vehicles because of covid ..checked website they still offer vehicles..I would of never went if I knew in advance ...Very rude personal. Called many times to ask questions no answer. Why list a number if no answer. There is a prerecorded message but the message doesnt state that they are still under covid restrictions meaning you have to drive your own vehicle and you cannot walk and feed tortoise.

You gotta love this place for what it is. It is a private zoo created by animal lovers and run for like minded people. You drive through with your own vehicle. The animals are wild, but very interested in coming up to the car for food and photo ops. The roads are dirt/gravel and passable, but not great. Was glad to be in my truck. Some branches scraped the roof on my 4x4, though. Definitely get the $10 bucket of food for the max experience and take your time to enjoy it. You can take a second loop through the park for free if you ask. Very much enjoyed the experience.

Keep in mind, we went in the middle of a pandemic. The rules may have changed. Some of the attractions that involved being around people were closed but, we still had a good time. We fed animals from our cars and the kids had a blast.
