My husband & I went later in the afternoon and did not have a lot of time to explore. I would recommend arriving by noon or sooner. The drive up is a beautiful residential area and we spotted several deer in front yards. Beautiful countryside....More

Great easy hiking trails for all to enjoy. Pavilion and picnic tables available for gatherings and I think you can call to reserve the larger area for reunions and other events. I strongly recommend this hike for the fall and spring time but is enjoyable...More

Simple, easy and pretty. Neat little log cabin pavilion area is the starting point for an easy 1.5 mile walk around the pond. Lots of turtles poking around during the summer. The covered bridge is straight out of a movie.

Wonderful place to take the kids and let them play in a natural setting. The trail around the lake is an easy walk. only down side is that adjacent neighborhoods are starting to encroach around the park.

This place is awesome. If you like History and hiking. I highly recommend it. The old bridge and first Huntsville home is very interesting. I take family and friends from out of town when they come visit.

Another great park in Huntsville area but this one is special. Lots of shady trees, great little spots to relax, tons of seating on the grounds and very peaceful.

One of our favorit spots atop beautiful Green Mountain. Perfect family hike around a picturesque lake, feed the ducks and Canadian Honkers (geese) as they stop off on their way north and south, this is a preferred resting point. Visit historic cabin along path, feed...More

Tracy has made some great suggestions. My only word of advice is that there is some major construction going on right by both of these hotels. There is a Hampton Inn in Hampton Cove which is over Hwy 431 mountain. While... More
