When we first drove up, I thought the cabins looked a little plain because there were no windows on the front of the building; therefore, it was a nice surprise to walk in and find the entire back of the cabin lined with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake. This made the cabin nice and private with stunning views of the water. Our cabin sat very close to the water with a deck that stretched across the back of it. It was a great place to wrap up and read on a cool October morning. We had a friendly blue heron that fished the waters, along with a few bass fisherman who came into our quiet cove to fish. There was a little stretch of lawn between the cabin and the lake and a grill and firepit were tucked here. The cabin had a large open central room that included a living area with a comfy leather sofa and oversized chair, a couple of end tables and a coffee table; a dining area with a large round table and four chairs; and a small kitchen that was stocked with a coffee pot, microwave, electric stove, oven, frig (ice trays in the freezer) and sink. There was a nicely sized bedroom on either side of this space. Each had its own bathroom and the same floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake (all the windows came with an easy to lower shade that could be used for privacy). One bedroom had a king-sized bed, the other two queen-size. Our particular cabin was handicap accessible. There was one other that was marked as handicap accessible, and as someone who has a disabled parent, this cabin really WAS handicap accessible with a roll-in shower, ramp to the back deck and a bridge to enter.

The lot by the lake was so peaceful - woke up to deer in our lot each morning - lots of places to hike - and if you like to fish - its the ticket.

First time staying at the beautiful lodge. Absolutely breathtaking views from room balcony of Lake Guntersville. We have taken overnight golf trips to Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan and Alabama State Parks and Lake Guntersville Lodge is by far the nicest lodge we have ever experienced. Eagle Nest Golf Course views were spectacular and the coure extremely enjoyable. We definitely will be back to stay and play!!

While we appreciate your 5-star review, we would like to note that the Lodge and Cabins are separate entities at Lake Guntersville State Park. If you would like to leave your very kind review for the Lodge, you can leave the review on the Lake Guntersville State Park page. Thank you, and we hope that you might consider visiting one of the cabins here as well!

We always take our out of town guest to the Guntersville State Park Lodge for breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet. My husband enjoys treating us girls to the beautiful view and the excellent food. It is also a wonderful ride of our motorcycle with all the "twisties" curves. The folks around there are most friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

We love driving through Guntersville State Park and spending time there. The views from the lodge and chalets are awesome, and there are nice cabins near the lake. They have a nice restaurant in the lodge, a sandy beach, boat dock, campground, and golf course. It has been a while since we played golf, but we enjoyed the course. You might spot some eagles or deer depending on what time of day you are there.
