If you are looking for a great day of fishing with a great guide/guy then book with John. I got my son and husband an 8 hour trip for a Christmas present and they loved it. They both caught lots of fish and enjoyed talking and learning about the lake with John. Great fishing trip

Second time fishing with John and he once again went above and beyond to help us have the time of our life. He flat knows his stuff but above that he is just a awesome guy to be around. If you didn’t catch a fish all day you’d still have an awesome time with him that’s the type guy he is. I can say with the utmost confidence if you book with John you will have a ball!

My son and I recently fished a full day trip with John on beautiful Lake Guntersville in Guntersville, Al and what can I say but Wow!! What an experience. We caught 79 bass, with many in the 3-4 lb. range. John is a great guy to fish with, he knows his stuff and his equipment is top notch. He is true professional and very knowledgeable of the places he fishes, I recommend him highly!! We will definitely come back for more in the future.

I have never been bass fishing before my friends and I went out with John Maner at 5:30 one morning in May. Some say it was a "blue bird day" for fishing, in other words not such a good day for catching fish. John knew exactly where to take us in his great boat and he patiently guided me on the basics of casting and catching a bass. After about three casts, John handed me the pole and I began to do the things he had suggested. WHAM! I almost went overboard and after a tug-of-war and help by John, we pulled in a 6 lb bass. SOOO excited! We caught about 12 before we asked John to take us around the lake just to see a few things. It was a fabulous experience.
I'll never forget the sound of that casting when someone like John knows what he's doing. You couldn't find a better guide and fisherman.

John was a great fishing guide for my family! It was a cold and rainy day, but we had a great time. John was patient and great with my boys as they learned to use the spinner rods. My boys caught several fish and reported that this was their favorite day of our Spring Break Trip!

I caught the fishing bug at a really bad time of the year, but thanks to John we had a great day. Mid-August, mostly sunny, very little to no wind... One could reasonably expect to catch very little to nothing... but we ended the day at noon after catching 31 bass! I am looking forward to calling him again in the Spring.

Most the time December is one of my favorite months. We catch some really big fish that time of year but as always the weather can be the determining factor

Will John provide the boat? I have vacation rentals and I have a guest asking for a guide with a boat.
Yes, John will host with a state-of-the-art bass boat, safety gear, and all the rods, lures, and tackle you could possibly want. Bring lunch and a fishing licence. Highly recommended!
