It was a warm early summer day with a steady breeze, perfect for being outside. Having toured the previous year, I wanted to experience the trails again, as as providence smiled, Dave was again my guide. After renewing the old friendship, we set off with my companions and new friends, and spent two idyllic hours looking at the flora and fauna so many would overlook without the knowledge and experience of a guide. This is one of the best activities near the state park, and I most highly recommend it!

Absolutely awesome experience! I’ve always wanted to try a Segway, and today was the day! Our guide, Dave, was very knowledgeable and gave us great instructions on how to ride, and gave us time to practice a bit.
It was fantastic! He took us all over Gulf State Park, told some great stories and kept us moving. We even visited an occupied bald eagle nest!
Would highly recommend!

We took the two hour tour and it was wonderful, went through many paved pathways, wooden elevated walkways over sand dunes, marshes and streams. Our guide was very informative, we stopped several times at points of interest and talks. I would recommend this tour to anyone as the segways were very easy to learn to ride and a good time was had by our group.

I rate it as a must do! I made fun of segways for years, not anymore. I now try to get a segway tour any place I travel these days. Like all the others I have done, this was worth it. I was only able to get a 1-hour tour due to timing, but it was still worth it. They went out of their way to ensure I was able to get in a tour. Daneka was my guide, and she was perfect for me. Do not be afraid of being unable to balance, once you get a little crash (ha ha) course, you will be fine. I have been on many of these now, and I have never seen anyone fall off. The 1 hours takes you through some beautiful car-free boardwalks and paths in the woods.

Don't figure on calling and booking a tour the same day! I called on Monday and the only thing available before Thursday the same week was an 8:30 tour on Wednesday. We took it!
Best thing ever. Had been wanting to ride a Segway for some time and thanks to a sweet girl gifting us a certificate it happened today. Had been told they were fairly easy to adjust to but as I am not a very coordinated person I was a little skeptical. Mark made it super easy though and my husband and I were rolling along in short order.
It was a 2 hour tour of 6 of us. Shana was along as it was Mark's first tour but he held his own quite well and think he will be a super addition. They pointed out alligators, osprey, their nest, eagle's nest and turtles. Was such a great time and I know what to request for Birthday and Christmas gifts from now on!

My family and I went on a two-hour tour with Dave. It was awesome! Definitely a must do activity for your Orange Beach vacation! He was more than patient with those of us who were not at all comfortable on the Segways. He took all the time we needed to get good at it. He told stories, made sure we saw wildlife, and told a bunch of dad-jokes. We will definitely do this again if we are back in the area!

This 2 hour tour with our guide, Dave, was the best Segway trip we have ever been on. He made the tour exciting by showing us alligators, snakes, birds, and even the water tower. (Thanks, Captain Obvious.) Dave is fun and adventurous. He has a keen eye for spotting reptiles and nature in general. You’ve got to try this tour! Fun for the entire family. My 72 year old mom did the tour and enjoyed it also. Only thing I wish they had, and really need, is hand held radios on the segways for everyone to be able to hear.

I was super nervous about riding a segway. Almost backed out before arriving as I'm not the most coordinated individual . Dave did an amazing job making me feel comfortable within first 5 minutes getting on it. It was so much fun. Seeing all the beautiful sites. Dave was very informative and knows alot about the park. I would recommend this tour -even if you've never been on a segway before.

The segways are so cool and Dave was so great. He took a lot of time to explain everything and taught us a lot about the ecology. It was really neat to stop and look at the alligators and we even saw two baby’s! They make noises when swimming near the mother so she won’t eat them!

Dave gave us extra time because no other customers were waiting. What a nice person! We highly recommend this adventure!

Our guide did a great job of making sure we were feeling proficient using the Segway before we hit the trails. He was personable and pointed out the different points of interest. He was up front about not being a naturalist or biologist. However being on the trails as much has he has been and being naturally curious, he learned a lot that he could share. We still got a nice overview of the diversity of the park. The tour was over 10 miles of trails and went through several distinctively different ecosystems. That said, your experience might be different if you have a naturalist as your guide. We happened to be the only two on the tour which made for a very relaxed and casual way of seeing the park.
