This was a nice way to spent and hour, or so... walking out onto the pier, watching people fish, and watching the birds. It appears that if you have the time and equipment, it is also a convenient and comfortable place to catch a few fish. We saw several fish caught and fish being cleaned. We also saw a bunch... More

Thanks so much for your review of the Pier. There is alot to see out there and if anyone would like to fish but did not bring equipment, you can rent everything you need at the onsite tackle shop. Hope you visit us again soon. More

You need your Alabama State Fishing License and you pay to fish off the pier, but it is well worth it.

We went to the Pier yesterday had a great time. We spoke with a lot of the locals out on the pier fishing. They were friendly and pleasant, and very knowledgeable of things to do in Gulf Shores. This is most definitely a place to go back to.

Thank you so much for your review. I think part of the fun at the pier is listening to the locals' stories. They definitely have a lot to tell. Thanks again and hope you come again soon. More

We visited the pier twice during our spring break trip. I had two small children that loved it. The locals are very friendly and social. We had a chance to see several different types of fish caught. We also seen dolphins swimming around the pier. Very fun and interactive way to spend a few hours in the day.

We don't really fish, just love the location. Anytime we visit Gulf Shores Beach, this is ALWAYS our spot- or somewhere near it. It's a little ways from the hustle and bustle of the larger attractions in the area.

We spent a lot of time at the pier fishing during our stay in the area. The views were spectacular, weather was gorgeous, and the fishing a plenty. Nice to pay a daily fee so we could come and go. Great place to see lots of shark and jelly fish. Nice cleaning stations for fishing. Bathroom were clean.

Four of us go in the late afternoon for a walk every trip we make to the area. Always enjoy watching the fishers and the water.

This Alabama State Park features a fishing pier that extends well out from the shore. There is an entrance fee, somewhat high, even for just walking out to the end of the pier to see the gulf away from the shore ($3 per person, single entry) or you can purchase an all day pass for an additional cost. Fishing, in... More

A local told us about this pier and boy were we glad we went. Cost me $3 to get on the pier as my kids were free to get on, parking was free. We saw at least 10 black tip sharks, a couple sting rays, lots of jelly fish and other small fish. There was also a very friendly pelican... More

Very nice, well maintained, 11 dollars to enter pier and fish, lower cost if you just want to walk the pier, Only pier in gulf shores that's public. They have bait and tackle shop and outside restaurant type place, but food area was always closed. We were there in First week October, and arrived at 10am and left at 9... More
