This pier is really awesome. We saw several people catching fish. We saw tons of jellyfish along with crabs and baitfish schools. We also watched several different large sharks roam up and down the pier all the way to the beach.

Took a nice stroll down the pier at sunset. Cost was $3 each. Saw several fishermen but no one was catching anything. Pretty view and nice way to stretch our legs and enjoy the scenery. Not a lot to do at night so this is a good option,

Good signage about local birds, fish and other sea life. Fun to watch the fishermen if anyone is catching anything. Go at dusk and stay for the lights to come on and attract fish.

$3 for a one time visit or $4 for an all day pass. We paid three dollars and hung around for at least an hour or two. Lots of interesting characters and people fishing off the pier. It was interesting to see people reeling in all sorts of fish. We even saw one fella snag a shark that was approximately... More

I was surprised that there wasn't any stores, shops, or restaurants along the pier. Also, they should have better signage advising of there being a cost to walking on the pier. Wasn't much, I think around $3 per person. We had never been charged to walk on the pier before, and we've been to many ocean towns. That being said... More

In just the first 10 minutes of being on the pier we saw a dolphin, a few sharks, and alot of different kinds of fish. It was our first time fishing and the local guys on the pier helped us out with proper bait and infomation on fishing. We had to leave in a hurry at about 4 pm, and... More

We went on the Gulf State Park pier tour this visit. It was very informative. A definite less expensive experience everyone should enjoy.

My husband and I vacationed in Gulf Shores. We visited the pier after our dinner one night. It was a great place to hang out. We saw people fishing and took pics of their catch. They have a place to get ice cream and snacks. The weather was great and there was a cool breeze coming in off of the... More

It was fun to walk along the pier and see the pelicans and fishermen. Pier is not too long so I don't know why they have to charge $3 per person to walk to the end...seems a bit expensive when you bring a family of 6 just to take a walk. It's very windy out there and we did get... More
