Gulf State Park's two miles of beaches greet you with plenty of white sun-kissed sand, surging surf, seagulls and sea shells, but there is more than sand and surf to sink your toes into. Inside Gulf State Park there is a championship golf course, new beach pavilion, rental cottages, tennis courts, camp sites, hiking trails, Zip Line, and a fishing pier that is 20-feet wide and extends 1,512 feet into the Gulf. This and much more make Gulf State Park the perfect in-state vacation or out-of-state adventure.

Just about every public beach stop was overly crowded, but we love the beach so we wanted to check this one off of our visited beaches. Had a blast just be weary of jellyfish. Didn't realize they would be hanging out so close to the shore. Lots of fun!

Took my grandsons to the zip line. Most fun we have had in years. Superior staff who knew how to get a 12 year old to master the zip line. Price was reasonable.

Amid the hectic bustle that Gulf Shores has become with numerous high rise condos and tourists the natural beauty and calm retreat by this park help rejuvenate the soul.

This beach has the soft white sand as the rest of the crowded beaches in the Gulf Shores area with one exception....it's not busy.

We walked out onto the pier and looked around for a little while, we did not fish but it was a nice view. We were able to see a few dolphins and sharks. Wish we could have seen more.

Great location. Beautiful scenery, lots of trails which make it a super biking location. Too far from the beach to walk.

This is a nice park. A great place to get shells if you are looking. Much better than some other beaches for that.

Our first trip to any beach. We were there July 3-5. It was clean. Not really crowded. Friendly people. Bathrooms were close. Parking could be better. We chose this area because of the description and pictures...it said sugar white sand and turquoise water. Sand was clean but not sugar white. Water was not turquoise. But we still enjoyed it!! I... Our family went to the pier about sunset just to walk and see the sights. We watched families have their beach pictures taken, one couple got engaged, young kids catching their prize fish, and grandparents praising the children over what a fine catch they had. Good place to spend some family time whether you're fishing, taking pictures, or just spending... More

We have been coming here for years. Now with the renovations and new pool it's an even greater experience.
