About
Gulf State Park's two miles of beaches greet you with plenty of white sun-kissed sand, surging surf, seagulls and sea shells, but there is more than sand and surf to sink your toes into. Inside Gulf State Park there is a brand new Gulf Front lodge and Conference Center, beach pavilion, National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World Cottages, tennis courts, camp sites, 28 miles of paved/enhance trails and a fishing pier that is 20-feet wide and extends 1,512 feet into the Gulf. This and much more make Gulf State Park the perfect in-state vacation or out-of-state adventure.

Beautiful park, good signage. Parts handicap accessible. In our morning hike, we saw forest, dune\desert, swamp\marsh. Saw alligators, turtles, skinks, hawks, butterflies, dragonflies in the wild.
Recommend Rosemary Dunes trail and beach with easy parking.

A Pristine Jewel on the Alabama Gulf Coast
Sep 2021
A wonderful natural jewel for all ages and interests on the Alabama Gulf Coast Beautiful trails, lakes, gulf beaches, and enrichment centers. The park restaurant has wonderful affordable meals for meat eaters and vegans. The lodging looks spectacular, we will stay in one of the lake side cabins on next trip. Trails are beautiful, well-maintained and highlight several different bioenvironments. Shore and peer fishing on the gulf. You and your family can spend an entire week in this one park without getting bored.

Planning to return!
Sep 2021 • Friends
The park is beautiful and impeccably clean and well maintained. There is a lovely boardwalk across Lake Shelby and the marsh that offers views of so many different terrains all within the span of a couple of miles. There are picnic areas and playgrounds and trails and restaurants. There is so much to see here I will be making a return trip!

Awesome State Park
Aug 2021
Gulf State Park is a large RV park and the sites had a nice space between each one. Park had a swimming pool and was on a lake. The beach was a short drive away and the parking pass allowed free access to the beach and pier. I recommend bringing a bicycle for easy transportation around the park and on the many trails.

We stayed a week in our Class A
Motorhome in the Park.
We enjoyed the pool.
We rented bicycles and road a 3 hour trail. Lots of fun!
It's close to most everything we wanted to do.
They have a laundry.
Nature center.
Would recommend Gulf State Park

Love what they have done for the environment

Amazing what they have built and restored! Hurricane Sally and a hail storm has created some issues but the facilities are unbelievable! I'm spreading the word.

Nice!!

This is a hidden gem along the Gulf Coast. White sugary sand and less congested than Destin and 30A.
