Gulf State Park's two miles of beaches greet you with plenty of white sun-kissed sand, surging surf, seagulls and sea shells, but there is more than sand and surf to sink your toes into. Inside Gulf State Park there is a championship golf course, new beach pavilion, rental cottages, tennis courts, camp sites, hiking trails, Zip Line, and a fishing pier that is 20-feet wide and extends 1,512 feet into the Gulf. This and much more make Gulf State Park the perfect in-state vacation or out-of-state adventure.

Beautiful beach

It is a clean beach with easily walk-able sand, not very crowded this time of year. I really enjoyed it and would like to return.

The designated photo spot was a nice touch. A sign points to where you can sit amongst the dunes. The pier is nice but $3.00 to walk out there seems expensive. There are signs to explain the wildlife native to the area. Several places to rinse off the sugary sand. Adequate parking.

We love coming to Gulf Shores State Park Beaches!! They have kept them in pristine condition! The dunes are wonderful to see, the fact that they work so diligently to preserve the sea turtle life is amazing! Just this trip we saw a worker guarding a recent sea turtle nest on the beach. We definitely recommend this state park for... More

We truly enjoyed our walk in the pier. Saw lots of jelly fish, sharks and people fishing and catching fish. Great time.

There are so many campsites to choose from. There are also nice looking cabins, though we've never stayed in them. It's across the street from the Gulf. And with your state Park pass you don't have to pay to go on the beach or the pier. We spent 2 hours just walking on the Pier watching the fishermen and the... More

Our family decided to take the camper down to Gulf shore state park. Wow, what a wonderful time. The park is very well maintained and staffed with wonderful people. From Ms Kelly, CJ, Tom and Ranger Dave all the way to the pool and camp store. We got to see real Alligators as well as participate with Sharethebeach, the save... More

This is a great places for pictures with the family or significant other... Beautiful sand and the skies of blue and even when stormy without rain, it makes for a great background with the sea oats and clouds wispy in the wind. Cool shades occasionally and nice picnic areas.

Our son & daughter-in-law had their beach wedding here. A private company set everything up on the beach. The beach was a beautiful setting and the park was really nice.

We visited the state park on our first day of vacation. We just drove through looking for a place for morning runs which was safe and kind of off the main roads. There are several trails to run any distance from about 2 miles to 5 or so. The trails wind back into the marsh and woodland around the lakes... More

Thank you for your review. We actually have 7 trails that make up the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trails and there are over 15 miles currently with more being built and expanded in the next few months. We hope you come back and explore more soon. More
