Grew up around the corner from this place. It's awesome. Not much to do if you don't have a boat, though. You CAN rent....but it's not cheap. Also, "big" boats on the TN river are scary for small crafts.

My husband loves to fish there both on the bank and sometimes he carries his boat. It a beautiful place to ride thru and just park and relax.

Just finished a two day trip up there. Throwing the net for shad, and running up to the damn with your bait bouncing off the rocks will draw the fish out! Between my buddy and I we caught about 20 catfish, a 4 foot gar,...More

Provided one knows how to fish, has access to a boat, is familiar with boating safety, this is the place to be during pre-spawn as the currents are churning and smallmouth are stirring. Be sure to stop by the local tackle stores to see what...More

Very nice lake with some huge bass. The lack of short term rental, covered boat slips in the Florence area means you must pull your boat out every night or leave it exposed to the weather and potential theft.

Pickwick Lake and the TN River are most beautiful. Beats anything we've seen on the east coast. Look forward to returning here.
