If you stay in McFarland Park check out the visitor center.Iit is beautiful. I felt underdressed to go in the restroom. Hasn't been open long and it's a very beautiful - lavishly appointed building with good exhibits and nice people working inside.Florence as a whole has many wonderful things to see. I stayed there a week after die birding 200... More

My wife and I went to the park twice while we were in town for a weekend getaway. Though we didn't have our boat with us, I see this would be a great area to enjoy the water. The Florence Marina is right next door to the park and there are several boat launching facilities. Also, there is a camping... More

Mcfarland Park is a great park, right next to the Tennessee river. It has a campground and shady trees. There is one big drawback that dog walkers need to be aware of though and that is the cannon that is fired at sundown. If you do not know this ( there are no warning signs anywhere,) you could lose your... More

This place has a little bit for everyone. From the gorgeous views of the Tennessee River to the beach, boating, camping, or fishing everyone can sit back and enjoy the day. The pine trees near the bank provide shade for hammocks and plenty of picnic tables are available for eating. Definitely a nice spot to just relax and enjoy a... More

A kids play park, a marina, an abundance of fishing and an incredible restaurant, Stanfield's River Bottom Grille and a couple of pavilions for groups with grilling, fireplaces, picnic tables all add to the beauty of this park. Very close to downtown Florence with... More

This park is located on the Tennessee River. There is no admission charges but, there is a charge for camping. Fishing with a license is allowed off the bank and there is a great Restaurant. It is a beautiful park and has large shelters for groups. There are accommodations for boats. There is a July 4th celebration each year with... More

This park has some beautiful views of the Tennessee River, the marina, and one of the bridges into downtown Florence. The homes along the bluff are gorgeous. This is a good place to go for a picnic or a stroll along the river. You can rent a boat at the marina or put your own boat in at one of... More

There are plenty of things to do at McFarland as there is a Marina there (open various hours) and Stanfields River Bottom Grille is open in the Summer and on various days (check their website or call to be sure of hours) and at least three separate boat ramps as well as permanent storage for boats if that is needed...
