We played Rock Creek “many years ago” and we’re glad to play it again. The course has the famous #2 hole that has a huge hazard to go over. While the Pro has a video (YouTube) on playing the hole, he doesn’t address the senior golfer or women who don’t hit a 200 yard drive. It is a fun hole to play and as a senior woman golfer, I was thrilled to be over the hazard and near the green in 3. The course offers challenges of bunkers and hazards. It does have elevation changes we did not find in other courses in this area. These add to its challenge. When we played the back nine, the greens were being redone but we still enjoyed the course. Funny, we putted well on these greens where the grass had been killed. The par threes were fun and we were thrilled to play them well. As a twosome on a quiet day, we played in just over 3 hours. We also avoided the potential rain. It was a good day of golf.

This is my first time playing this golf course, and I had a good experienced. There was a bag boy available upon arrival and quickly assisted me on my golf bag. The staff at the pro shop were kind of confused because I just called and booked my tee time 30 minutes prior, but got it figured out. The starter had briefly explained how the golf course was laid out, and let me played single. The golf course were well maintained, pace of play were moving along right on par, and overall I had a good experienced. Highly recommended...

Rock Creek is a great course on the gulf coast that is challenging and unique. It is surrounded by a collection of beautiful homes but is still close to Fairhope and Mobile Bay. It is quite hilly and can play up and down from hole to hole. The greens are not particularly large but play fast. We found this course to be a challenge with many unusual lies and approaches on the holes. It is not terribly long but still can play long due to the terrain and hilly nature. Very nice clubhouse and pro shop. The folks who run this course know how to do a good job and made us feel at ease. This is definitely a course to play on the Alabama gulf coast and is a bit more reasonable than many of the better courses.

Great course!! I enjoyed golfing with my relatives at Rock Creek. Nice layout with rolling hills- greens had several spots that needed some TLC. I will definitely play here again when in Fairhope, Alabama.

We played every other course twice in the week. Rock Creek was our seventh day filler. Course is much more wooded than those along the coast which was a nice change of pace for the week. It was in very good shape as you would expect. Pro shop is decent but not special. My only quibble: every other course we played provided range balls with the round vice as an additional purchase. Regardless, the course is solid and a very nice option to break up a week trip.

Great staff, good layout, course knowledge is a plus. Accurate approach is must due to tiered and sloping greens. Reasonably priced.

The course was in great condition for this early in the spring. Service was outstanding and we teed off exactly on time. Play was a little slow but it is basically a "resort type course and they are tytpicall a little slow.

Rock Creek Golf Course was a surprise to me. Someone else made the recommendation, but it was on the money. It's an excellent design, with elevation changes that one doesn't expect so close to the gulf. Greens in good shape, with maybe a little too much Bermuda, making them a little slow. Fairways in good shape.

The tees seemed rather sparse at times, but that's just to nit-pick.. It's got a great variety of holes, long, short, uphill, downhill, doglegs. Go enjoy yourself there!

We have a group of friends that play near gulf shores Alabama each year. This is one of the courses we love to play...... It's super nice, the staff is helpful and friendly, and you can grab a nice lunch in between rounds. The course is always in great shape and beautiful.

First time at Rock Creek, went ahead and played from the back tees, a little over 6900 yards. I'm a 6.1 handicap right now. Shot 78. Could easily have been around par but....who am I kidding???? It's a lack of talent.....but I digress. I should note that most of the holes were in relatively easy locations; only a few pins were on the slopes.

My opinion on the difficulty of this course is that it is directly correlated with where the pins are placed on the greens. There are really no difficult tee shots. You can hit driver on pretty much every hole. The fairways are VERY generous. The greens rolled true - no one would be disappointed with the greens on the day I played.

I played as a single and a foursome let me through on the second hole. Never saw another golfer the entire round. That probably has something to do with the $59 plus tax greens fees for AM golf.

Overall, had a great time. I am planning on moving to the area and will have to give serious consideration to joining this club.

Still difficult for me to pay $60/round, but that's the going rate for this level of golf in this area I suppose. Best value for this price range in the area in my opinion, including the slightly more expensive Gulf Shores courses.
