I'm a local, and there are many good restaurants in Fairhope. However, I find myself at Windmill Market more than half the time I go out to eat. Whether it's lunch with friends, Friday night pizza with the family, or getting Frio's Popsicles after school, we always enjoy our time there.

Can't miss the opportunity to feast on this whenever in town. Friendly staff always aiming to please. Live music on Saturday is a plus

I went in for an afternoon smoothie, although they were closed they made me the most delicious smoothie! It was made of Almond milk, fresh figs from their garden, peaches, kale, blueberries and blackberries. The service was second to none. I am local and I will return!! Windmill has always been one of my favorites!!

I had read about the Windmill Market, so we made a point to walk there after visiting the shops on the main drag in Fairhope. It was a very hot July afternoon, and we intended to grab some lunch and a local beer, check out a couple of shops/booths, and listen to live music. When we arrived, it was so... More

We drove by the night before and loved the building so came back to check it out. We had our dog, Cooper, with us. "Mayor" Dennis greeted us, brought Coop some water and walked him around outside so we could explore inside. The concept is redeveloping to be a source for all things local - if we lived in Fairhope,... More

We weren't sure what to expect and the reviews we read were actually related not to the "market" but the restaurant. We didn't eat at that restaurant but ate at Mary Ann's which was fine. There really isn't anything here except the restaurants, ice cream, photography for sale and wood working items for sale. We were really expecting more shops... More

I recently stopped at Windmill Market with my wife and kids. We were exhausted from traveling and needed a break that could accommodate children and was healthy and enjoyable for my wife and I. When we arrive the market was closing up but Dennis saw the look on our faces and step right up to cook us awesome rice bowls... More

My family and I drove from Mobile to visit Windmill Market yesterday and had an amazing experience! We realized that they were closing down only after Dennis had asked us for our order. Windmill Market is the definition of hospitality and definitely a place to visit for everyone!

I am allergic to a number of chemical and additives typical in restaurant food. Restaurants often rely on some level of pre-processing to hold down costs; not this delightful place. The food was natural, delicious, healthy and (thank God) Chemical free. The staff was attentive; the was venue calming and fun. We will be back - often!

We have always loved this location and enjoy the live music outdoors, but some things were previously amiss. The new management team put on a pop-up oyster bar last week to introduce the new chef and team. The event was fantastic. In addition to the oysters, the chef prepared some grilled shrimp for us to try. The new managers are... More
