The Carnegie is an art museum in the historic district of Decatur. It is in sight of The Old State Bank, First Baptist Church and the Tennessee River is just a couple of blocks away. It offers art classes to children in the summer.

Beautiful art center. We signed our 11yr old up for art camp for the whole week 8-5pm and it was very educating and fun for her and very tiring lol. Great staff and volunteers. Beautiful historic looking location. Fun for ANY age.

No matter if you are young or old you will fall in love with the Carnegie Arts Center in Decatur, AL. They have specific events so make sure to check out their website. Visiting the Carnegie is a MUST when you come to Decatur!

I like going here because it changes every few weeks. While it is free, contributions are accepted. This was my first favorite building when I moved to this town in 1971. At the time it was the public library.
