If you love old guns you will love this museum. It's 5.00 per person to walk thru. And it's not very big but has tons of guns to look at.

Need to enter this Museum from the retail business. This is a privately owned individual collection, but has more firearms and etc than the State Archives in Montgomery

This was our second visit to the museum. It was also the second time we purchased Civil War items for a good price. The owner is very informative and very fair with his prices. If you enjoy history, you will definitely enjoy this place! (Ask about the ghosts..... LOL!)

Very good selection of Civil War items, from photographs to arms, ammunition and personal items. Allow about an hour to walk through. $5 to get in.

I'm a Civil War buff and love going to museums, homes, etc. representing this period. The gentleman who owns the collection is very knowledgeable. Primarily the collection is made up of weapons, but there were uniforms, daguerreotypes of many officers, election ballots, etc. He also has interesting artifacts available for purchase - Confederate bonds that were worthless after the war... This is a personal collection turned into a museum. Great examples of rifles, swords and artillery shells. If you're a Civil War enthusiast and have an extra 15 minutes I would recommend stopping by. It's $5 to get in, but the relic store is free. The gentleman working the relic store that's attached is extremely friendly and knowledgable. The prices... More

This place has an amazing collection of civil war relics which are nicely displayed and easy to view. The old building has a great feel and atmosphere to it and the owner was very nice and knowledgeable. The museum is located in a nice, older part of Decatur, AL which only adds to the experience and Decatur was the site... More

This is the largest personal collection of civil war items we have ever seen, and they are arranged and displayed wonderfully You could literally spend days looking over all the items here. We particularly found the "War Log" to make us stop, pause and think about how it came to be. Finding a genuine piece of Civil War hard tack... More
