I would like to thank Captain Andrew for the time of our life on the water. Andrew said it might be slow because of the rodeo. The captain said they’d caught some fish on a selected location yesterday and we would try it first, and it was all on from there! We caught over 100 fish, 40 keepers and we kept him hopping! Andrew keeping saying, “Reel Randy, Reel!” haha. The trip was shortened due to the storm, but for 2.5 hours, we had a ball, and the trip was well worth the money. I would highly recommend Andrew as a guide, even though he hit every bump on the water on the way in. Haha. I asked him to turn around and hit the one he missed. We joked and cut up with him all day long, and I know we won’t forget him, and he will never forget the crew from VA. I expect a review on us from Captain Andrew haha

Everything was fantastic, from booking the trip all the way through getting back to the dock just as the rain started. I took my family including two 9 y/o kids out with Capt Andrew and we had a blast.
The booking of the trip was great. FinAtics made it clear that fun and making sure my kids were comfortable and enjoying themselves was the number one priority. Our goals for the charter were not to catch our limit on every fish in the gulf, but rather to have fun and make sure everyone got to catch some fish. FinAtics was on the same page from the beginning and even suggested some flexibility while booking to make sure we met that goal.
Capt Andrew was in contact with us the day before and kept us updated on the weather (a front was moving through). He was very easy to get a hold of for any questions and we ended up being able to go out at our regularly scheduled time.
While fishing, Capt Andrew was absolutely fantastic with my kids. He would cast them into the perfect spots and then helped them watch their lines and kept reminding my son to reel (he never got frustrated with the kids or made them feel bad when they missed a catch). He calmly and patiently fixed my daughters line when she caught the trolling motor too. Throughout everything, he went above and beyond.
Capt Andrew kept us out and moving with the fish as long as he could, but the front was moving in and he knew right when to head back to the dock. We got back to our car and the rain started just after everyone got in and was buckled for the ride home. Capt Andrew wasn't done though, he stood out in the rain and filleted our fish that we kept and bagged those up so we could take them home to eat.
The experience was great and the level of communication from FinAtics and their captains cannot be beat! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!

Captain Chad is an extremely knowledgeable person who loves and protects the waters he utilizes as a livelihood. I admire his candor and love for his area, his rules are simple and forthright, take car of the environment and it will take care of you. Chad is one of the finest boatmen around and makes sure to share his knowledge with others, he says, what is experience without sharing it. His demeanor is warm and hilarious. He makes the experience feel like you have had the the best deal on the planet.
No mistake his journey is best bang for your buck period.

I’d give this company a 0 if I could. I booked the 6 hour deep sea fishing back in November 2022 for our spring break getaway. I emailed them a month prior to out trip due to never receiving the follow up email that they said would be coming. They responded within a few days stating that I would get the email closer to the trip as we had about 1 month before we were booked. We were supposed to go fishing Friday March 31 at 6 am, as of March 30th we still never received the email that they said they would send. Also on March 30th I attempted to call them twice and left messages. I never received a phone call back. I was staying on dolphin Island, so I went to their “address” which did not exist. I also stopped at the marina and talked to the staff there. The woman I talked to said that Finatics Chartes doesn’t have a spot on the marina but they do occasionally come and pick up a client. Finally Thursday evening around 630 pm I emailed them in a last ditch effort to get a response. I did receive a call saying that “the riptide was to high” and then the next day I received an email stating
“Good Morning!
I am sorry I am just now answering I have been under the weather and thought the Captain was handling contacting you about your fishing trip. I am sorry the weather is not cooperating for your charter. I have issued your refund for your $200 deposit and again apologize for any inconvenience. We have had to cancel a lot of charters lately due to the weather being uncooperative. I hope next time you come to the island you will give us another try. Again sorry and hope to see you next time.
Thanks
Emily”
I am completely disappointed and should not had to try to track them down. I was shocked to find out they are not even located on Dauphin Island.

Theo took us out and we had an absolute blast! We caught a ton of fish and he was a really good teacher. The wind was blowing, but Theo made the best of it and put us on some serious fish. The two teenagers that came with learned so much and Theo was a great coach! Thanks Theo!!!!

Captain's Theo and Andrew were Awesome! They know their way around the bays and put us onto some great spots for Speckled Trout. Needless to say we had more than plenty of fillets grilled up that night to accommodate 16 people. The sunrise view on the bay was spectacular along with the humor and professionalism of Captain's Theo and Andrew. See you again soon Sir's, thanks for the great morning on the water.

We were looking for a new experience for our family and friends to do while on vacation on Dauphin Island. We called Finatics for information. We received a call back with in 15 mins., Emily took her time and answered all of our questions.
The trip exceeded all of our expectations, especially with accommodating the adults as well as the kids.
Highly recommend this company!

We had an outstanding trip with Capt. Theo. Capt Theo’s son Sage accompanied us on the trip. Sage was an excellent first mate keeping our lines baited and in the right spot to catch fish. We shared stories and had a lot of laughs with Capt.Theo and Sage. Capt Theo made sure we were on the fish throughout our trip and cleaned them at the end. I would highly recommend a trip with Finatics.

What a great guided inshore fishing trip! Captain Andrew was very entertaining and worked very hard to put us on the fish. My grandsons (14-17) caught lots of fish and Captain Andrew was very engaging with them to enhance their experience. He dubbed them “Team Socks With Crocs” lol! We all had a great time and look forward to going with him again, maybe this fall!

Had a great time fishing with Andrew. From the beautiful sunrise, great fishing, my 13 year old Son’s biggest catch of his life, and the excellent tasting speckled trout for dinner. Excellent and Awesome. Won’t hesitate to go fishing with FinAtics again and again.

How is the inshore fishing in mid April? What are your rates for inshore?
Written February 22, 2020
April and May are usually our best speckled trout months. Very good fishing. Only downside is pretty windy that time of year.
We would love to have a chance to earn your business

Hey the 4 hr is $800 for 5 people or less. $850 for 6
6 hr is $1000 for 5 people or less and $1050 for 6 people
Only additional charge is the deckhand tip. We suggest at least 15 % of your trip cost

This was our second time to use FinAtics. Went with Captain Chad, the owner, in May of 2017. He was great and we caught some nice fish. Today, October 16, 2018, we went out with Captain Jason. He was a wonderful guide. Gave us lots of great fishing tips and did everything but catch the fish! (That’s what a great guide does.) and did we catch fish. My wife and I caught our limit of speckled trout (20) plus she caught a nice redfish.
We’re akteady talking about when we’re coming back.
Whether you’re an experienced fisherman or have never wet a hook, do t consider any other guide service in the Dauphin Island area than FinAtics Inshore Guide Service!
