The whole bird sanctuary is just beautiful and a delightful walk. Take bug spray if it’s warm. We love to go try to see the alligator in the fresh water lake and have yet to find the large one but did see the smaller on...More

I enjoyed my adventure out on the boardwalks and grass trails. I was surprised that there wasn't an indoor visitor's center, but a pavilion with informational boards. Regardless I ventured out after being dropped off. Once on my way there was no turning back and...More

Not sure we were there at best migratory time, as saw no bird life. The trail was nicely maintained. We did see large turtles with interesting markings. Not sure if we saw alligators or logs, since there was no movement. Nice safety markings throughout! There...More

We did the short walk to the first pond. That part is on a boardwalk so it's very easy. We stood out on the dock overlooking the pond and saw an alligator! I would have loved to walk more, but it was the afternoon and...More

Nice trails around a pond that's home to turtles and an occasional alligator. We spotted several Ospreys and other smaller birds but the time of day and year was not the best for bird watching. Bring binoculars and bug spray, and plan for a couple...More

Loved it, but get good bug spray and spray often. The mosquitoes will kill you. It's a beautiful trail. We got to see an alligator in the lake and a beautiful great horned owl up in the trees. Worth the visit. And it's free.

Someday we'll go back in the morning when the birds are active, but it is a lovely place for walking and learning about local habitats.

This was so nice and peaceful a bit strange though that we are allowed to walk along the woods with alligators roaming free--- it had just rained so everything was so green and pretty and the gator was active in the water with the sea...More

We got a late start and was not able to walk all the way around, and ended up having to turn around and exit before dark. We were disappointed that we only saw a couple of birds and no alligators, but it was almost dark...More

I very much doubt that they have wheelchairs. There are a few areas that are on a boardwalk but mostly it is trails/ paths.
