Beware - you need eyes in the back of your head
Jan 2020
Sudder street has lots of things to look at, and look out for - especially that cluster of young children which crowds around you and then the smallest one, about 5 years old, frisks your pockets, and steals your wallet!!!! Oddly enough, most of the adult locals who gather on the street, seem to know who they are! So the moral is - don't put your stuff into your pockets and look out for those little brats. By the way, we got our stuff back - thanks to the locals ...

It is office locality. Crowded. But you can reach here by Metro. Maidan stop. SBI Jeevan Deep building is situated nearby. There are some more banks. From here you can walk down to Maidan, Birla planetarium and Victoria

You can pick up clothes and ready made garments of your choice from a price ranging to suit your budget and pocket. Variety is mind boggling.

Very near to New Market
Oct 2018 • Family
I am from Dhaka Bangladesh, the steer is like my hometown. The street is very near to the New Market. Most famous 2 restaurants are located there. My hotel was also located here. It is very easy to reach New Market and other attractions by this street. While you will visit this street you will definitely love the street.

This is amazing street of kolkata city for tourist
Jul 2018
The street starts exactly opposite the Fire Brigade Headquarters on Free School Street and ends towards the entrance of Indian Museum on Chowringhee Road. There is a oldest hotel name fairlawn is great British traditional Hotel ,i always staying there for enjoying sudder street culture, also a building on the turning of Hartford Ln. off Sudder St. where Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore lived for a while and penned a few poems
There are a number of cheap eateries, foreign currency exchange kiosks and travel agencies in Sudder street. The area around Sudder Street is notorious for drug peddlers, who supply contraband drugs at cheap rates

Budget Hotels Area
Nov 2017 • Friends
This street is best known for it's budget hotels and also hostels. It is filled with hawkers peddling various stuff like shawls, souvenirs, books etc. This street also has the backside of the Indian Museum, an old church and restaurants like Zaranj. Also it has many small travel agent shops and tailoring shops. I visited this street as I had Lunch at Zaranj restaurant and after lunch I explored this area along with three other friends.
