As we were visiting with family, went to see this place. Situated on he bank of river. Probably bakes of holidays, the place was full of visitors with long "Q". As with most temples of India, this place was also not clean.

It takes 40 min approx to reach Dakshineswar Kali Temple from airport through Belghoria Express way. 20 min will spend for darshan and puja. It's doable in 2-2.5 hrs.

I am thinking of taking a train from Dum Dum to Dakshineswar, a bus from Dakshineswar to Belur Math, and then return with a train from Belur Math to Howrah. Ticket for the trains available at railway booking counter of the respective station on journey date. No advance booking is required. You can avail ferry service from Dakshineswar and Belur, it will be a pleasant journey than bus.
