College street is a very unique street, dotted with book stalls and shops. It's extremely busy, as the tram, buses and all other modes of transport run down the road, but the chaos adds to its charm. If you hunt enough, you might come across some interesting rare books.

I was of the impression College Street would sell a broad variety of books, but they are mainly student text books.

Its not only a heritage place of Kolkata but also one of the most vintage destinations of the entire country. It is said, you cannot find a book which cannot be found in this stretch.
