We were a group of 22 members (family) went for a 2n-3d package with "trip to sundarban". Our group was picked from Kolkata Science City on 31st Jan'20 8:30 am in an AC Bus & dropped at Godkhali jetty at 12:00 pm where we boarded our boat to start our Sundarban journey. From there itself our tour operator Mr. Anupam Roy and his team guided us all the way to pakhiralay island by serving us tiffin & lunch on board. In the early evening we visited bird jungle and returned back to our cottage which was situated at a lonely place in proximity of the river bank. Local Tribal/ folk song & dance were arranged in the late evening. Next day we started our mangrove safari by cruising through the narrow creeks exploring the Flora and fauna of beautiful islands of sundarban. Breakfast, snacks, lunch along with intermediate beverages were served by Mr. Roy and his humble crews which were delicious but non spicy as well. we anchored at bank for our cottage around 7:00 pm in the evening where the barbeque party was waiting for us. Next day we started late for our return on the same way as we came by having our lunch on the boat before reaching Godkhali jetty to board our return bus.
I sincerely thank to Mr. Roy and his crew for giving all out effort to give us utmost comfort especially to my elderly uncle during the trip. Very few snags to be refurbished not that major to be mentioned here. Overall we all enjoyed the fullest.

I,alongwith 22 family members availed the trip on january,31st to february,2nd this year. It was an amazing one,as the tour operator,Mr.Anupam Roy gave us splendid services, which went beyond our expectations. Arrangements of hotel was good.Staffs are extraordinarily sober, clean n they were full n good in sense of responsibility. They provided us very healthy food with variety .sometimes we felt it was too much. Mr.Roy always accompanied us n took special care to each n everyone of us. We had a senior member, who can not walk. But the staffs effortlessly handled him with great responsibility. Each n evryone of us overwhelmed. I will give ten out of ten.

We travelled from London to Sundarban with these folks. They are great at planning every bit of the trip and caring while to resolve operational issues at ease. Food quality was great, as as we wanted it to be and meals cooked on the boat. The boat is a spacious one, with two decks, could easily have 25 tourists but we were lucky to have the boat just to ourselves. As per our need they also arranged for the government tourist lodge booking for us. They had a guide on the trip as well who talked about the unique nature of Sundarbans.
The owner and all the boat personnel were gems of people. Even though with a private hire it was a cost effective choice when we compared with other Sundarban boat trips. Highly recommend and would to suggest booking in advance over email or phone.

We went there during the Christmas time; two families with four adults and two children. I had chosen this tour operator based on the internet reviews- happy that I didn't have to regret. We had taken a private boat for our two families for 3D/2N. Anupam da was not present at that time since he was out on another tour and we were looked after by the manager Mr Govind. The tour was wonderful from all aspects: food was awesome on all days, stay was good and Mr Govind was very cordial and caring. The local dance program in the evening was wonderful. Though not present personally, Anupam da was on constant touch with us everyday. We saw most of the animals except of course the King of the Jungle. Overall the tour was wonderful and we all enjoyed a lot.

Great experience with Anupam and team. Their cordial behaviour was cherry on the cake. Right from the start it was mesmerising. The food served during the trip did not had any complains. The mouth watering items were perfectly cooked and was served timely as expected. Would love to be a part of other trips conducted by Anupam

The service and response was excellent, and the food were delicious! Anupam did his best to deliver a good tourist experience, and I would definitely travel with them again. All his staff were accommodating to the nth degree and went out of their way to make sure all requests were met cheerfully.
One should take the weather and tides into account while planning a trip to the Sundarbans, especially with a view to seeing wildlife. I would definitely recommend a stay of at least 2 nights, with morning and evening boat rides (rather than a whole day spent on a boat in the heat of the day). Having said that, being in the Sundarbans on a boat is a lovely peaceful experience in and of itself. I would suggest that the operators perhaps provide deck chairs on the boat to make the seating more comfortable for a long, slow ride.
Thanks to all for a memorable trip!

We had a perfect family holiday in the lap of the beautiful Sundarbans for which we are thankful to Anupam dada and his team. The team was very courteous and dedicated to ensuring that we have the best time. All meals were freshly prepared on the boat and were delicious. The team was so kind to meet our specific dietary request for less spicy vegetarian meals and even arranged for celebrating my 8-year-old niece’s birthday on the deck including arranging for a surprise cake and a special dinner and delicious kheer for dessert. The experience of enjoying the pristine beauty of the Sundarbans was ameliorated due to the politeness and the professionalism of the crew and the guide. We highly recommend this trip with this crew to truly immerse yourselves in this tranquil natural ecosystem for an experience of a lifetime!

We enjoyed a full-day boat trip organized by Trip To Sundarban. It was an amazing experience. Rich and deep mangrove forests along the rivers and creaks.
The boat was well-maintained and safely operated by friendly staff. Lunch, snacks and chai were yummy.
The boat arrived before the scheduled time. So we left the hotel jetty sharp at 7:30 am which was exactly on plan. We returned to the jetty around 4:30 pm.
Since the sunset is nearly one hour earlier than in Delhi NCR, we suggest you start at 7:30 am, not 9:00 am or later, to fully enjoy this boat trip.
We are quite satisfied with the tour. We want to recommend friends in Delhi NCR to come to Sundarban.

We took a day trip on the boat to the various tiger reserves. Lunch and other services provided was excellent. The scenery on both sides through the river was breathtaking. Various types of birds, deer and monkeys were seen from time to time. The cabin underneath the top deck and restroom needs some improvement. Recommend to carry your own water bottles. Otherwise, this is perfect for a day well spent immersed in nature and serenity.

How to Reach in SUNDARBAN?
Get in Sundarban
When we want to go anywhere the first work we should do is to collect the information about the destination sot that at the time of the tour we could enjoy the place.
Sundarban is not an exception.
However, apart from the other tourist places in India, there are not enough and valuable information existed on the internet. In fact, there are tons of misinformation from the mediocre tour agents and guides that really can’t help you in your journey.
So, I’ve decided to write this article to help you and other adventure tourists who are interested in Sundarbans. In this article, I will guide you about the Kolkata to Sundarban distance, the entry points and how to reach Sundarbans?
Kolkata to Sundarban Distance
Kolkata is the capital of West-Bengal and its also a great tourist destination in its own. If you are planning to visit Kolkata then don’t miss out the trip to Sundarbans as the biggest Mangrove land is located just 109 km from Kolkata. The added benefit is there are many tour agents including us help you visit the tiger land.
Routes to Reach Sundarban From Kolkata
There are two main routes to Reach Sundarbans from Kolkata.
Basanti Highway
Baruipur-Canning Highway
These two are state highways and maintained periodically to let the tourists visit the Sundarbans without any hassle.
Wondering, in both of them which is the best route to visit Sundarban?
Kolkata Basanti Highway
The best route to get into the Sundarbans is through Kolkata Basanti Highway. We always use this route for our tourists as its not as crowded as Baruipur-Canning Highway.
If you want a smooth traveling then use this route to visit Sundarbans. Basanti Road is linked to Eastern Metropolitan Bypass near Science City in Kolkata and from Science city, Kolkata to Godkhali Sundarbans distance is 103 KMS and it takes about 3 hours to reach Godkhali.
You will find several tea and snacks shops on this route. You can stop any of these shops and get refreshed.
Kolkata Baruipur Canning Highway
The second route you can use to reach Sundarbans is Kolkata Baruipur Canning Highway. However, the distance is the same as Kolkata-Basanti highway but as it goes through main markets of the towns you will encounter heavy rush. Especially at Baruipur and Canning.
It takes more time to reach Sundarbans via Baruipur Highway then Basanti highway. The Two Entry Points to Sundarbans
There are two main entry points to reach Sundarban from Kolkata.
Godkhali and Jhorkhali
Godkhali
We always use this entry point as its located just opposite to Gosaba the main market of Sundarban Tribal Area and you will get all the necessary things before starting the tour to the Sundarbans.
○In Godkhali there is a huge parking space for private cars and busses where you can park your vehicles with nominal charges.
As well as you will get public transport options such as Busses and Autos from Godkhali to Canning.
JhorKhali
Jhorkhali is a less popular entry point to Sundarban. However, you will get public transport to get Jhorkhali from Canning, there are no markets like Gosaba in Jhorkhali and parking space is not as huge as Godkhali.
There is one more reason why we always prefer Godkhali over Jhorkhali – The distance of Sajnekhali Forest office from Jhorkhali is 5KMS more then Godkhali.
How to Reach Kolkata to Sundarban
There are three transport options to reach Sundarban from Kolkata.
Via Local Train – It the best option for indie tourists who want to save some money on travel. By choosing this option you can reach Godkhali with just 150Rs/Person.
To reach Sundarbans via train you have to catch the Sealdah-Canning Local train from Sealdah South station. You will get trains every hour. The best train that we use for our tourists is 7:40 Sealdah-Canning Train.
From Canning you have to catch a share auto or if you afford you can reserve an auto or car to Godkhali.
Via Private Vehicle or Bus – The second and more comfortable option is to hire a private vehicle from Kolkata to Sundarban. If you hire a private vehicle you can reach Goidkhali by 3 to 3:30 hours.
