Book on IRCTC coz if the bookings are full you may not be able to board it at Darjeeling and may have to miss the joy ride The station codes are DJ to DJRZ on irctc,

It was running when I visited in April. I hear there is a lot of unrest there now. You may want to check about the timings now as they may have changed. Thanks

Yes you have to go there in person. They have frequent trains heading back and forth so the wait needn't be that long - you have the option of taking the Steam Train or the regular one - in either case the views are... More
