visited Dhirdham temple, temple resembles the famous Pasupathinath Temple of Kathmandu. It was built in 1939. A statue of Lord Shiva is present outside of the temple depicting "Pancha Bakram Tri Netram-five different facial expressions in different moods and the Third Eye of Lord Shiva are depicted. The temple's roof is influenced by Tibetan architectural style. In Darjeeling very pleasant atmosphere, something special, I like this place, even if you do not go hither for the famous tea or see the mighty Kānchenjunga , this place should definitely be included in the list of places in India that you must visit, you will not remain indifferent and accurately likely to want to come back again

Dhirdham Temple is adjacent to Darjeeling Railway Station. It is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. I visited here in the afternoon when it was closed. So, confirm the timing before going there.

The architecture of the temple was just amazing and it provided a really beautiful view of the entire snow clad mountains behind. The temple complex was really quiet and serene which relaxed us as we were tired from the journey. Beautiful and spellbound

One can walk up to the Dhirdham temple through residential lanes in Darjeeling, a few minutes from Darjeeling toy train station. The temple is very colourful and the architecture is superb. The view all around is even better and amazing. One can sit at the bench there and spend hours after hours.
