Walking down to Chowrasta and hang around for a bit was of our everyday routine in Darjeeling. The place is full of all type of shops and eateries. Local market is also very good. I bought a Khukhri from the ‘Kalimpong Art Gallery’.

The quintessential meeting place for local population, this is s large open square, with 2 roads leading to the zoo and Local bazaar and 2 routes leading to the mall...plenty of ATMs, local outlets and eateries around

I had a 3 day stay in Darjeeling and everday after seeing all the places i used to go and sit in the chawrasta area on the benched kept there. People offer tea coffee there. Take a sip of tea and enjoy the sight

Just the square with shops, wineshops, coffee shops and Cafeteria, a stage to perform for locals. Nothing special nere by there is street food one can try.
