Came here with my sister, 200 rupees entry for foreigners. A good variety of animals, lots of cafes spotted around with reasonable prices. Mountaineering institute also based on site which offers indoor rock climbing, Everest museum was very Good and really interesting! For the price a must go for all ages!

Very cheap (100 ruppes) zoo which also gives you entrance to the mountain institute and everest museum which was very interesting. Lots of cafes dotted about . Good variety of animals but not loads. Can do in a hour or so. Good for kids and adults.

One of the best zoo... Bit small...but you won't be disappointed... As there are loads of cute Himalayan red pandas ...you won't find any where in the country...

This Zoo is very large and has few animals which does not fascinate us. Museum inside the Zoo is not good and instead of encouraging visitors to take photos and propagate its values, photography is banned.

A visit to Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological park is must, if you are travelling to Darjeeling. We reached there quite late and had only half an hour to see. Saw Red Panda which is the star attraction here. They have 6 Red Pandas in 2 enclosures. Also saw Black Bear, Royal Bengal Tiger, Snow Leopard, Black Panther, Leopard, Wolf. Also... More

If you take a leisurely stroll, you can spend an entire day here itself. Or if you are on clock, you can complete this in 3 to 4 hours. The place was kept tidy. And the range of animals that are kept here are amazing. One can see animals that are exclusive to Himalayan ranges and some of them are... More
