Tiger Hill is an observatory for watching the Sunrise and its reflection on the Mt. Kanchenjungha.. But you need to be lucky to be able to see it.. Darjeeling is mostly covered with white clouds and fog.. although even in the months of October-November there are days when the sky is not clear. I have been there thrice.. May, August... More

During recent visit to Tiger Hills whilst in Darjeeling, we could have a glimpse of the Snow Clad Mountains. The Beauty of Tiger hills in Panoramic and worth remebering. One must visit Tiger Hills, if visiting Darjeeling.

The tiger hills shows you panaromic view of Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest together. A must visit before the sunrise when rays falls on the peaks of both the mountains.

In my view., This place is hyped and not that great. This is my personal view and this may not match with many others. I am saying this because.. we books a taxi that costs us 2000rs.. we woke up 4:30 in morning.. boarded cab at 5.. reached tiger hill at 5:45.. Waited there for around 1-1:30 hours in the... More

The point is at a good height as it is on the way to Nepal. Though unorganized, one can view the sunrise and Kanchenjunga simultaneously at this point. Watching the first rays of sun on the mountain peak is a beautiful experience. This is one of the best sightseeing points in Darjeeling. Go empty handed and get food/tea options available... More

Probably one of the most crowded activities that I have undertaken voluntarily in India. the "pushing and shoving" was a little too much for my liking. So many people in one place at one time! However I enjoyed the hot tea that was sold by the tea wallahs.

We went along to this with a 4am pick up in a hope of catching the sunrise. Unfortunately the whole sunrise was hidden by cloud and we did not get to see anything. Not worth getting up for. May be better later in the year
