The primary reason I visited the temple is because it is because it is the oldest temple in chennai. A must visit because of this, but wouldn't spend too much time here. Personally felt that there are architecturally better temples in the state of Tamil Nadu

Exquisitely designed architecture, but that's about it for this temple. Just another regular place of worship from the inside.

Kapaleeshwar Temple is one of the famous temples in Chennai. Its a very big temple spread widely. This is a Lord Shiva temple. One should surely visit this temple. Around the temple there is a lot of shops where you can shop for gifts to take back home.

I love this temple for its cultural values. They host a variety of traditional carnatic music concerts and bharathnatyam dance during all special occasions. It is a calm and spiritual place amidst the hustle of the city.
