Neighborhood: Mylapore
The religious and cultural epicenter of Chennai, Mylapore is highly revered by the
locals and tourists for the rich history and architectural marvels that line its narrow
alleys and markets and is one of the oldest residential neighbourhood of the city.
Home to a cluster of tree-lined avenues full of popular churches and the renowned
Kapaleeswara Temple soaked in Dravidian architectural vibes, Mylapore is filled
with small lanes with old-style homes, music auditoriums and stores selling music and religious memorabilia. The bazaars selling jewellery, fresh produce and flowers
that surround the streets of this neighbourhood provide a colourful backdrop to the temple. Aimless strolls through the small lanes lead you to hidden corners of some mouth-watering south-Indian dishes served at local places like Maami’s mess, Jannal Kadai and Kaalathi Stall.

This is a beautiful place to visit if you have spare time exploring the city. The architecture of this mall is interesting. It seems to be a place for locals to socialize. A destination for shopping and dining. Currently is undergoing a lot of renovations.

This can be another mall you are looking for some shopping. The advantage is, it is very close to Gandhi Beach or Marina Beach situated on RK Salai just one crossing away from the beach. Its has the branded showrooms and some favorite places like KFC, Pizza hut and Inox. If you are a tourist, it will be just another mall for you. So, you know now what it is before getting there.

This is the second major mall I have visited in Chennai, first in 2009. It is amazing, and the architecture igoes with the rest of Mylapore. It is very close to Marina Beach, and in the daytime, you can see it. Try going to Landmark Bookstore, a very nice chain o bookstores. They have every kind of book there, and it is 2 floors. You have a wide variety of food in the food court, from McDonalds to Sangeetha. Overall, this mall is probably one of the best in Chennai.

The shopping mall is pretty good in terms of the number of shops housed in it. It has branded cloth, books and stationary shops among others. What I really like about the mall is its food court. The food court features all the major fast food chain such as Subway and McDonald's and the local favorites such as Sangeetha and Wagns. It caters to all appetites and tastes. Overall, it provides a good shopping experience and excellent choice in food! :)

One of the best maintained neat and clean malls in Chennai for some time now. Great shopping experience and the food court is also great attraction. I went with my grand children and they just loved the Fun City play area which is in the same floor as the food court.. The staff take good care of the kids. Strongly recommended.

I liked the location of Chennai to see nearby pondicherry and other nice temples etc. Unfortunately accomodation was expensive as it is a city built for business and not for tourism. I would recommend booking in advance and a 2 day stay would be sufficient to see the sights

Went with kids on a Saturday morning to watch Cindrella!
Nice place to go with the family. Especially enjoyed the sunlit atrium. Kids had easy access to McD ice cream on the ground floor.
IMAX is good still and I think it has been done up nicely. There was no waiting time for the lifts, which helped.
If you are visiting Chennai from another city, and want to go to a place just to hangout and get a feel for Chennai, this is a safe bet!
