Originally started with a more serious conservation point of view,...

Originally started with a more serious conservation point of view, Crocodile Bank is now the weekend spot for a fascinating day of herpetology. For the kids, it’s a special treat to see large crocs spend the day languorously by the water. The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology also allows adults to volunteer and gain hands-on experience in the field.

Earlier I visited the park 5/6 yrs back . No doubt, we could see plenty of crocodiles but the park deserves for expansion with more varieties of crocodile and other amphibians. Otherwise, interesting place of interest, especially for the children.

This place has several reptiles kept in captivity. There are Crocodiles, Alligators, Snakes and Turtles. The place is dominated by the Crocodiles. The collection is awesome. So many crocodiles belonging to several different species can be seen here. It was a thrilling and wonderful experience to see these large sized animals swimming in the ponds or spending idle hours on... More

If you'd ever like to see crocodiles of all kinds (and there are many kinds!), this is the only place where you can see them so close - lazing around in the sun, or floating somewhere in the ponds. So many of them! It is such a strange sight - there mouths open as if they are inanimate. This place... More

The surprise of my tour. Fairly priced, well maintained and interesting. Spent an hour walking though it, look at the crocs and get some information. The only point to improve is to have a bit more information about the creatures. I found the one board a bit too little. But for the rest, I really enjoyed this place!

Its a wonderful experience to see so much crocodiles at one place. There is also different species of snakes - both venomous & non-venomous, turtles - slow moving giants. This place is good to learn about these reptiles. The zoo keepers doing excellent job.

Nice place to be with friends and family. Kids would live this place as the crocodile bank is open and very attractive. Entry fees is INR 40/- per person and... More
