Fair price paid
Sep 2019
Like other reviewers our group was taken here by our tour guide. We were given a tour and shown the various stages of the jewellery making process. I purchased a ring and it was sized and delivered to our hotel as agreed. After reading Tripadvisor reviews on my return to the Uk I was worried I had been sold inferior quality stones. I have today had the ring valued by a registered gemologist and am pleased and relieved it has been valued slightly higher than the purchase price. It would appear I am one of the lucky ones, however impulse buys abroad are always a risk with hindsight I would wait to buy in the UK.

We had been taken to this shop by our driver and our experience there was quite pleasant. There was no pressure to buy and we did end up buying few stuff. I can't say about the quality of the stones - we liked the pattern and the price seemed reasonable.

Beware of buying jewellery here!
Oct 2017 • Friends
On our return from India we had an internationally recognised and certificated gemologist in New Zealand value our rings for insurance purposes. She found that the value of the three rings we bought at Jewels Emporium in Jaipur were significantly less than we paid for them.
The ruby in one ring is damaged as a chip has flaked off it.
The quality of the diamonds were not what was expected and the inclusions in the all gemstones meant that they were not as good quality as we were led to believe.
The emerald and diamond ring was valued at half what we paid for it.
We still love the rings but are very disappointed that we were treated with such disdain by the salesman at this business in Jaipur.

Extensive jewelry selection with unique enamel silver not seen elsewhere. Prices are average compared to other shops.

In my 3 week travels around India did a lot of shopping. Jaipur is known for jewelry and I did visit some very nice stores besides this one. What made this shop stand out from other's is it's extensive selection of not just costly gold with precious gem items but decent priced unique sterling silver with enamel designs not seen elsewhere. Purchased an adorable pair of enameled silver earings, perfect for casual outings. They went with almost everything I brought on the trip and wore them as much as possible. The price was average for India, decent by US standards as a similar piece in US would be about $40 more. If you want cheap, buy costume jewelry.

Exorbitant Prices!!

This is a review of the Jewels Emporium in Rambaugh Palace. There is one on MI Road - the main store, that is situated in a very large building.
The one in the Rambaugh Palace is along a row of shops that also include Gem Palace and Tholia Jewels.
I found the prices in Jewels Emporium so high I could not believe it. I asked a few times for the price to be repeated since I thought maybe I was not hearing correctly.
I ended up buying jewelry from Tholia, which I found much more reasonable with identical quality.
Please be careful going to this store.
I would NOT recommend Jewels Emporium in Jaipur for anything more than a place to visit. There are many other stores nearby with better deals and equal quality.

BUYER BEWARE!
Mar 2016 • Couples
Our bus driver directed us to this shop - it is situated on MI Road and the building is impressive and beautiful. Unfortunately, I bought a ring for my wife. When I returned home to Canada I had the ring appraised. I found out that the ruby I was sold as 'authentic' was not real and the value was a fraction of what I paid. When I called the store, they pretended not to speak English.

I do not recommend this store for purchasing jewelry - only for browsing.

Judge for yourself - totally satisfied
Oct 2016 • Couples
I am astounded by the negative reviews of Jewels Emporium. Our experience was totally different. The Emporium has been owned and managed by the same family for several generations and is clearly very reputable. They do everything from purchasing raw gems to cutting, polishing, designing and manufacturing of fine jewellery. They have an outlet in the Rambagh Palace Hotel for Heavens sake! We were referred by friends who also had a very positive experience. We had some jewellery repaired, some modified and purchased some modest new jewellery. We were treated with great patience and respect and were 110% satisfied with the end result.
The Jewels Emporium have a very wide range of jewellery including that which appeals to western tastes. Take their advice - they have vast experience and make your visit a really pleasant experience.

Ripped off in Jaipur
Oct 2015 • Solo
I am writing this review to try to save others from the terrible experience I had this company.

After a tour of India which included a quick trip to Jaipur, I purchased items at both Gem Palace and Jewels Emporium to be shipped to the US.
My shipment from Gem Palace arrived right away as promised. I never received any pieces from Jewels Emporium.
When I asked my credit card company to step in and help, Jewels Emporium submitted a series of forged receipts signed by the owner, Anup Bohra, stating I had picked up the items.
My signature was forged as well as the dates and other information.

This was a very bad experience for me and I only hope this can save others from getting ripped off in India. Please stay away from this company. The bus drivers and cab drivers will direct you here because they get 'pay offs' from the company.

One additional note: Another person on my tour bought a blue topaz ring from Jewels Emporium and found out it was glass when she reached the US.
